Hi Ed, The horns are real, mounted on the car, real too.
For those that did not follow the 2011 Third Coast thread, I had the horns for many years. Decided to go to Third Coast near Austin, Texas. To get in the spirit I bought a used hood from Mark Anderson, had it painted to match the Zyclamrot Metallic color and had the horns mounted on the hood just over where the Porsche insignia is. The horns and hood have long been removed and stored for safe keeping and the original hood has been replaced. There are still some who think I mounted the horns to the original hood and that the horns are still there for life. Was just "funnin ya'll"
If I had to hazard a guess I'd say those are the fastest set of Texas Longhorns anywhere. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

The Pearlglanz White car in your post belonged to a friend of mine and after his wife passed prematurely I sold the car for him. It was sold to one of Pete's customers and as far as I know it is still in the Asheville area.

Did Pete get a pic of the sticker in the door that has the color code on it, or do you know that color code.
I forgot you were selling that Pearl white car for your friend. Man, I REALLY LOVE that car! I looked at all the pics of it and just drooled! Freaking gorgeous!

My friends pearl white car was a really awesome car. He had a 89 930S in pearl white to match it! Was really cool to see them together. I sold that one for him also.
Personally, I think Stan's is one of the coolest 928s EVER! ......well, aside from your avatar!

Ken, Your car pleases me every time I see it. Post up some interior pics. I've got a buddy who is a professor at Southern Oregon Uni I need to visit. I'd love to meet up with you and see your car in person some day.

Totally agree with Dan on this one!!! Love that car! Just so unique. You never see that color on GTS's and I still say you need an S to pair up with it in the same color! That would be the start of one AWESOME 928 collection!
Chuck, let me know if you find some more pics of the last US GTS...love to have them. Still have not seen a pic I am happy with that REALLY shows the color of that car, inside or out for that matter.
As to my current avatar. That was Saturday's photo shoot with my friend Sophea. 44 and probably about as sexy as any woman on the planet! She is Cambodian. Came here when she was six has a 21 year old son IIRC...

I think mine is quite an unusual colour!
The pics are from where i found it in a dusty car park and then being delivered a few weeks later so forgive the fact that it's not clean but these are the only ones i have at present. it is currently at a shop being bought back to life.
I'm not sure of the "real" name for it but it seems to fit "purple" quite well.
I like it anyway (go easy, it's my first post).
