Tony, that car may be the one that I have, it was in Las Vegas until about 4 years ago or so.

Wow, nice find! This brings back memories when I got to spend some time with Peter around 1979-80, just before his passing. I had just moved to JAX (lived there from 79-81). It was around something unrelated to cars and he never mentioned anything about that, I had no clue. I was a young kid of 20 at the time and he took me under his wing and got me really interested in that particular sport, he taught me a lot of tricks that I still use to this day. Thinking back he seemed like the happiest, most together person I had met in my young life and you would never know the pain he must have been in, sad. I realized years later who he really was and it all clicked together. Putting all of the success in the Porsche world aside, he was still an amazing and humble person to meet, even to the average guy.

I look forward to seeing you bring this one back to life, let me know if we can help in any way.

Cheers,

Dave

Sorting through the wiring on this car lately; Significant molestation present. Below is relay panel as found. Plus the most famous car chick in 1980s Jacksonville apparently needed serious security....Goodbye 928, hello trashcan.

Turns out this car had (has) light grey or grey beige carpet originally. Hard to tell which one because someone spray glued the entire surface of it to attach black loop carpet over the top of it I needed to replace all the carpet anyway and I think the light carpets will contrast nicely with the black/script and pearl.

Doesn't the option sticker tell you which carpet it had?

Nice job getting this project rolling, that's a lot of work rescuing this one...

Find anything interesting under those seats?

D
