I thought about doing the auto-x anyway but I would have to leave before dark or rip away enough sheet metal to make the headlights work.

The accident happened in Union county do you think that the charlotte police office would still be able to help?

Hey 86 951

I can't believe that you got screwed like that. I would be raising hell. I would call the cheif of police or something. I wouldn't think that it should be your fault. Man I would fight this one. If you make a big enough stink the trucking company might just settle with you to shut you up.

9am I will be in the white 951. Seel you guys there.

Yeah I plan on fighting it, I called the owner of the trucking company from the scene of the accident and he was a real pain in the #$%. I am going to go to the company that he hit me in front of and see if anyone happened to be looking out there window yesterday.
But without a witness there will not be much that can be done legally.
I hope that everyone learns from this though,
A. do not sit close to the back of a tractor trailer.
B. car full coverage on a 16 year old car even if it is paid for.

I really hope that you get the trucking company, paint work is not cheap and really they should take the responsibility for what they did. Again good luck....

I had a scare on a quick drive this morning, I was just driving along and lost all boost and then the motor died. I thought it was a little odd, turns out I just had one of the intercooler pipes come out of its boot and also had another line come loose, thank goodness it was nothing more, but when you are waiting for the other shoe to drop you worry about everything (I think I have had about 37 shoes drop, so really im just waiting for 38).

Dave,

Please remember the ledas when you come down, I would like to have them down here so I can send the one back. O yeah, and the M030 bar if you can fit it. Thanks.....

Looking forward to seeing a good 924/44/51/68 Turn out, someone please bring a digital camera....

I have free garage space, and lots of time to work on the 951. So it is charlotte for me till I pay my debt and find a job.....

I am sorry to hear that.

Hey if while you are working on your car you happen to need a perfectly good water(edit Fuel) pump from a 951 that had a fire problem let me know. I have one laying in my garage i might be able to hook you up with.

Just kidding.

If you get any leads about sales positions up there let me know. I am moving back up to Charlotte soon.

Wish I could make it, but family responsibilities won't let me leave town for that long right now. Besides, y'all young punks don't need an old fart slowing you down ;-).

Y'all enjoy, and post lottsa pics!

On the tractor trailer incident, when something like this happens, just leave the car where it is w. flashers on (clear of traffic if possible), get the tag number and as much identifying info as you can, call the cops on the cell phone, and report it as a hit-and-run... It's a lot harder for the other guy to defend against that, and the cops are more likely to be pissed at him when they have to go find his butt...

Jim, still a believer in DRL's...
