You are lucky the bodykit was popular enough in the 944 and part of the PET. Nothing anywhere for the Porsche BBS 924S Bodykit . Porsche didnt even had anything in their archives ! I was extremely lucky though that I found and bought an original set of installation instructions on ebay some years back in German) but with diagrams and details as in the PET pretty much ....

Well, they were factory stock on 944 Turbos and 944S2 1986 - 1991 whereas the BBS kit was Porsche Exclusive for additional cost. This is a good reason that there aren't that many out there, considering how many 924S were made.

There is someone in one of the 924/944 Facebook groups that is going to dismantle her BBS kit from her 924S. I will search for the post. If you get j touch with her for her help you might be able to reverse engineer the hardware and installation.

New Clutch Master cylinder, slave cylinder, even painted the starter. Got it bled using a combination of 2x4 clutch pedal actuator and also happily the coolant pressure gizmo I got to deal with the other problems (now sorted) fit the brake reservoir so was able to power-bleed and finally get the bubbles out. Also always a joy to 'stroke the slave cylinder and watch the bubbles come out' except I couldn't see them. But I could hear them. LOL. Thanks to the forums I had a lot of tricks to try. It was an entertaining morning where I gave up and didn't and then did again and then finally got the last bit of air! Win! A little adjustment at the pedal and dang it is sweet! Didn't realize how crunchy the old master was getting. While i was under the dash I replaced the dme relay - the relays on the upper section of the fusebox are loose, their sockets unseated, so you really have to wiggle around to get a finger behind the socket to push the new relay on - it took forever to figure out how to get in there. But the car hasn't randomly shut off while driving like it was doing so that is great.

Added a cartoon tiger sticker to the car to celebrate (it has two now, a duck, and a cartoon tiger, very fierce). Actually buffed out a small section of paint, before putting on the sticker, which is a partial half-*** promise to someday do the rest of the car.

Took the baby up to my parents (country roads, Tonasket WA to Molson WA) absolutely spanking it as hard as it would go - just loving the ride so much - all the new bushings, the new struts, the new clutch actuation, the rebuilt shifter, the flushed brakes, the working thermostat fans and DME relay). Heel and toe and shift and get it and repeat. Got pulled over by the sheriff on the way back into town, gave him a cheery hello, had all my papers, he ran my data and let me go free with a 'slow down'. Thankfully he didn't give me a ticket for the subwoofer and house music. That would have been embarrassing.

What a great day.

Scored a new set of Falkens for the rear of my '83 944..Been "tarting up" the engine bay some with color and clearcoat...Tried compounding it yesterday with mixed results. lots of welding spatter from the factory had to be removed...There are some strange markings, or crazing that appears to be in the sheet metal on the forward areas of the both front wheel arches...Looks like the metal has been stressed or some kind of sticker with a killer adhesive on it has been removed. Decals seem to be intact..Areas are painted...Baffelling..I will have to investigate further..Has anyone else seen this? I will try to forward pics later...not too good at that..however..fingers crossed...Stay safe warm and healthy out there, guys and gals.!

Installed new Koni Sport shocks in the rear of my 86 turbo. Big improvement -- car can take tighter corners now. Amazing how much better the car cues into the turn and finishes it. The originals were on there and were completely dead -- even more than I thought. I adjusted the new ones all the way counter clockwise (softest setting) minus 1/4 turn. There seemed to be about 3.75 total 1/2-turns from end to end.

Short shifter. Super easy, well worth it. Highly recommended.

I've got a notchy 1-2 shift, which I know is common with these. I plan to do a fluid change and am hoping for improvement, but was wondering if the short shifter would help even more. Any thoughts after doing this mod?

Default Made this

Thinking it might be good to have not only a spare DME relay in the glovebox of my 924s but an emergency one as well. I used the wires from a used switch wiring harness for the male spade connectors and an 'expired' relay.

What I did to my 951.....last fall I spun #2 bearing at Summit Point, I totally killed the engine. Bought a rebuilt engine from John Behe and about a week ago got the car running again. Murphy's Law got me and now I have a dead alternator. I ordered the Nissan Quest alternator and will be installing it this weekend. Ordered new AC condenser, hoses and R134 conversion kit from Griffiths., already have a good compressor. Ordered OEM Porsche engine mounts. I'm tired of the vibration at idle and during driving in general. Bit the bullet with the cost but I'm hoping it will transform the car and just make it more pleasant, which is the reason I'm finally addressing AC, tired of sweating on my commute. Also bought Racer's Edge camber plates. I have the hated highway 944 shimmy, I've addressed all the other components, strut mounts are the last thing. My current ones are raised when the car is off the stands so I'm pretty sure they are shot. Car is up on stands again and just waiting for the parts.

Replaced my original, extra-crispy battery->starter cable. Insulation was crumbling off and the copper was green and corroded from end to end.

A 4-gauge, 72" from Oreilly ($16) was a nearly perfect replacement.

Its a shame that no one offers a battery/starter/alternator cable kit like Ice Shark's back in the day.
