I had a similar experiance this last weekend with a gti I wanted to use for a daily car. Twice she refused to give a price and said whe was accepting offers. I offered about 80% of book value and now they don't respond.

Yeah, I don't get it. Why would anyone want to play this game?
I don't care what the price is, I will never buy from this guy, but I REALLY need to know what he thinks it's worth. It's eating me up!
Eh, I was over mine pretty quick. I went 80% because I kinda wanted the car, but I wouldn't go any higher because:
A. I would use eBay if I wanted an auction
B. It's not equipped how I want.

I don't think that would bother me either.
This bothers me because an advertised hatch should have a price - it's a ridiculous situation.
About this time last year I tried my hand(s) at Auto Slalom. While I was pleased with my performance, I couldn't get over motion sickness and found myself wondering if I'd ever really be able to race. I wanted to believe that only a night of lapping would let me decide one way or another. So, last night it was off to Shannonville for an evening of pay-per-lap. I didn't get sick! Yahoo!!!
Pushing the 924s into the corners--feeling the car drift a wee-bit and listening to the tires protest was a wonderful experience. The best part, however, was catching up to the expensive performance cars who would pass me on the straight-a-way but wouldn't or couldn't push their cars in the corners. I was confident that the near-perfect weight balance of the 924s was meant to do this and wouldn't let me down. Later on I watched for awhile and was amazed at the spin-outs and the number of folks going off the track thanks to endless horsepower or drag-racing designs.
Maybe the other 924s I have should be a dedicated racer. Stay tuned.
haven't driven mine in 2 weeks, but i was playing with my freshly-reground cams for the upcoming DOHC swap...
left is stock exhaust, right is modified intake cam with peak lift reduced to 10mm from 11mm but with same duration points.
exhaust is also 10mm peak lift...had them set to 10mm to fit into my experimental 928 head.
round peak means more time around peak lift = more airflow...
Front speakers install. Can get the stock grilles on too!
What brand/model of speaker is that? I need to replace mine but finding one slim enough to fit in the door and still use the factory grill is hit or miss.

I fit these behind the grille base. In other words you have to dremmel the opening bigger so the grille fits on. I also scraped the chrome rim off the little speakers and name as I did want to see chrome thru the grille.

Awesome, thanks! How do you like the sound? Are you using the stock head unit or an aftermarket one?

Stock head unit. It's ok really slight upgrade being a 3 way speaker. Can't really expect too much from a pretty small woofer. Probably should do the rears one day. I'm sure there falling apart. Fairly cheap too!

Yeah, my stock speakers are not in great shape, so it will probably be a pretty decent upgrade. I have been pretty happy with Pioneer products in the past, too.
For the rear I'm planning on fitting a component setup with a woofer and separate tweeter in the hopes of getting a little better sound quality. I don't want the weight of a full-on stereo system with amps and large woofers, but I do want the radio to at least sound decent.
