Finally managed to coax a couple of lock screws out of the transmission in my '87 924s today. All thanks go to a couple of ez-outs. New pieces have arrived and tomorrow I will refill the transmission.

ac on my stock '87 944 NA is the only thing not working. haven't found any worthwhile trustworthy shops to try to get it refilled to see if it will hold a gas charge.

Finally replaced my power steering belt. It's so nice not having to manhandle the wheel anymore...

I also did a test fit of the rims I bought on the right rear of the car. There is absolutely NO room to put a tire on these without it rubbing on the inside of the fender. They also stick out like crazy. It's a shame because I like these rims
They're for sale if anyone is interested...

Ok, yesterday i painted the door jams porsche racing yellow. The car was white. Looks great in yellow. Last night I got the mirrors ready for paint and today I will get the sunroof ready. I still have to work on the exhaust getting so hot. Y pipe glows red in a short time idling. Any ideas for my 1980 924???

Completed the throttle body reseal using the Arnnworx kit. The old throttle shaft seals were completely dried up and broke apart with a gentle poke. Fairly easy and cheap project that can be completed in a few hours.

My cat broke off right after the first hanger... Had to crawl under the car on the side of the road to remove the 3 bolts that attach it to the exhaust/muffler. The thing is stupid loud right now... Going to get it welded back on and order my exhaust system I have been waiting to do. Better this happen now then 2 hours away from home.

Got plenty of work done on our 1987 924S in the last few days.
(with engine out)
-replaced oil cooler seals
-cleaned up the headers and put back on with new hardware
-new rear main seal and pilot bearing
-re-installed engine (from the top) and made most of the hookups
-installed new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel (remachined), with all new bolts, bearings etc.
-re-connected drive tube
-installed new fuel filter
Next up: reinstall the transaxle, exhaust, clutch slave, starter and the last few connections under the hood. Hope to drive this car for the first time in about a week!
