I have too..... and they may be fast and handle well, but I will take the purity of joy that comes with driving a Porsche,
hands down

there are alot of cars faster, that maybe feel better for a while, but the dynamics still lie in driving any Porsche well at speed

I finally passed the inspection required for licencing!!! (because I bought the car outside of Quebec)... then drive it into the garage for winter storage...
Next spring I'll finally get to drive it seriously. I has been a year an a half since I bought it, most of the time I couldn't work on it because of priority house renovations.
But this summer/fall finished the installation of new belts and engine mounts then all the little things needed for the inspection:
-hand brake cables and shoes, drums turned
-at least 11 bulbs
-reanimated the wiper motor, still makes a horrible noise but the wipers move... to rebuild during the winter.
-fixed the odometer... not the usual gear failure/misalignment, found a work around
-new windshield liquid pump
Come on spring!!!

Well, saturday I fixed the last of a couple of under-hood rattles that have been bothering me. Fixed my windshield washers (new pump, hoses, valves), and removed the cargo cover so I can fix it. Final inspection/approval (from me) that my new fuel lines are not leaking and will stay that way. And finally, I took it to the car wash to have it "dusted off."
Pretty easy day.
I did discover that my defroster switch/circuit may have something to do with my dome light staying on with the doors closed. Gotta start looking into that now.

Had to scrape my windows for the first time so I could drive home from work. Covered in ice. I let the car idle while cleaning off the windows, and was admiring the new growl that the turbo exhaust and magnaflow cat give the car. I'm not usually outside the car when it is running.
I was happy just the same. The heat works well so I am hoping that I made the right decision to drive a 944 all winter...

Pulled the cam housing, came across an inhex bolt that had an "easy out" snapped off in it.
Neat trick to remove them: Cut a slot in the top of the bolt head with a dremel cutting disk, then use a screwdriver and a pair of vice grips to back it out

Watched the tinting bloke go through about 6 different attempts at tiniting the back window before giving up..... felt kinda sorry for the guy he was really pissed at himself for not getting it right and kept doing it again and again... he said its the first time in 20yrs he has had to turn a job away.
