Why would you start the car and then remove the steering wheel? Kinda tough to go for spin around the block eh?

I haven't done anything new since I ported the tb last week. I'm just planning to have my new exhaust installed hopefully next week. (I can't bend the pipes, and it will not exactly be "bolt on"

The horn wasn't working with the ignition on, so I was thinking that maybe it would work with the car running (not sure why I thought that). I mostly just wanted to start it so I could hear that baby purr And the engine hasn't run in over a week, so I wanted to see if it still worked. Unfortunately, I can't take it for any drives around the block because my brakes don't work anymore

Did the horn work?

Starting the car made no difference. It used to work when I grounded the wire to the medal on the inside of the steering wheel, but that stopped working. I discovered that the contact between the ring on the back of the steering wheel and that little tab that sticks up on the front of the steering column became covered by 24 years of gunk and stopped making good contact. After cleaning them off my horn works wonderfully now.

Along similar lines. I removed all the remote hatch motor/control/cables and bracket, and yeilded a kg. At least it was off the extreme back of the car! I was hoping it would be a bit more. It was all left over equipment as my trunk is only manually operated with a key now with the electronic controls long since removed.

Pulling the clutch at the moment.

anyone able to ID this for me?

[Edit] I had the wrong attachment.
I've also already identified it as a rubber centred clutch plate that's pretty much worn out.
Now to decide if I should go Sachs or Spec for the replacement clutch.
Note: this car is going to be used for some track days, but is being built to run in a targa road racing series. It'll be bone stock except for a MAF, late DME and upgraded suspension/brakes.
