seats look nice...whered you find the cloth?
I was wondering the same thing. I have the linen/black interior and thought it would be nice to do the seats with the script, but keep the linen sides

I only had the vinyl redone. He saved all of my original script cloth.
IIRC he said he could source the cloth but it was $$ a yard

Oh and it is off a ford I was playing with making it my new reservoir.

Default Prepping for Plating... Now what?

OKay... I've prepped the once shiny bits as best as I can... now, I have to find some place around here to have them zinc-plated... some place that the Eco-***** in the EPA haven't forced out of business.

Default das sunroof

9 dollars worth of spray paint and a metric ****ton of wet sanding later, I produced a sunroof that looks like the german flag. The paint on the roof was fading and looked gross, so I decided to have a little fun with it. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Thanks dude. I was thinking about doing the mirrors as well, but I don't want to over do it. Do you have an opinion on that idea?

that is pretty cool. mine is fading as well but i'mnot sure my car could pull it off that cleanly. i may try the stripe from above. ive been debating it a while.

some days i wish i had a gray or silver car. i would love to do green or orange wheels/mirrors. red is not nearly as flexible.

Replaced the front struts, what a difference!! Even my fiancée who isn't a big "car" person said it didn't feel like the same car, the steering and handling were completely transformed, 1000x better. Now to get rid of some damn squeaks and rattles.

PS. thanks to the thread about replacing the struts without a coil spring compressor, undo the nut, jack up the car and replace, couldn't have been easier.

im still trying to convince my fiance' that orange wheels, rollbar, spoiler, mirrors, and splitter would look good on my black 968... haven't succeeded though...

shes wierd though, she thinks red or green would be ok but she has something against orange... i feel like its the most conservative of those options. but what do i know. im just walking the fine line between the car being "acceptable" and "its taking up space" so i follow advice carefully. Heres to love Casey

yesterday i picked one of these up from the american distributor:

next time i am in the area i will pick up a second one.

the goal was to find a safe (preferably fia approved) fixed back seat that would look period correct in an early car without breaking the bank. not only was this the answer but it fits me great. it is not mounted yet, but it is the most comfortable seat in the house.

she sounds alright. if i had black car i would go green without a doubt. (i prefer orange on silver/gray)
