Yesterday: Dropped everything PS related. Rack, pump, cooler/lines, reservoir...all out.
Today: Clean up years of PS leaks on everything under the car. Install new motor mounts "while I'm in there". Install manual rack and (freshly powdercoated red) 951 swaybars front and rear with all new bushings.

Thanks to tifosiman for the power to manual writeup, very helpful.

Radiator sprung a leak a while back so I finally threw the 944 up on jack stands and took it out. I was surprised at how little time it took to take the radiator out, very simple. Will be putting her back together the end of this week.

Ripped out all of the carpet forward of the rear seats, and the trunk carpet. It was junk and soaking up water. Going to find the leak and redo the interior.

if you decide to do the carpet yourself, do yourself a favor and get a steam gun or something that you can use to play heat on the carpet.

i used regular auto carpet on a roll and in some places had to selectively cut it to match contours as i didn't have a heater
