I forgot how much better the areo's are to the stock mirrors.... As much as I love the 968, the S2 has a more menacing nose.... looking really good....

Default Uh oh. You're not gonna like this...

This is going to bug you, Johan. It would certainly bug the sh*t out of me: now that you have the 968 side mirrors, the little white pictograms on your mirror selector switch no longer match the appearance of the mirrors themselves. Flags on the switch, aero on the doors. They're incompatible. Heck, they may not even work anymore, but that's just speculation on my part.

It's ruined.

Thanks I've enjoyed other's stories so much and now I have the privilege to share my own.

Here is what I'm planning for tomorrow.
The parts and instructions ready.

Johan
Ps When looking at the bottom pic now, I see my wedding ring is in the pic as well, I took it of to prevent scratching the mirrors while assembling them so now both my wife and my girlfriend are represented in the same pic. LOL

Swapping the mirrors was easy and relatively quick, the door handles was a totally different story, it was damn difficult and time consuming. I just finished the left hand side, took me about five hours. I'm sure the other side will be quicker but still not a nice job. I'd much rather do something big than struggling with small parts in places you can't see never mind reach!

Jip you're right, I just spend every spare minute I've got upgrading the car. I think once I'm finished I'll have to do a trip to the low-veld to get some nice pics for a new avatar and sign pic.

I'm trying my best to finish everything before I go on holiday on Saturday. Thats except for the wood finish which will only arrive in six to seven weeks! Jaeger was however so kind as to make me something extra thats not on their normal product range so my baby can be special.

Did the CQ-VD6505N slip right in or was modification necessary?
How about the JVC unit? The model Panasonic head unit is not
available here in the US, and it seems a unit with nav already i
nstalled would be easier and cheaper, if it would fit. Any ideas?
All I want is a good nav system, good am/fm/cd/dvd. Not
necessarily the best - cost is a factor.

There was a a small bit of modification involved but nothing complicated, I could get it in but I did not like the angle so I just flattened the bracket's sides and cut out the corners.
The step at the back of the Panasonic is no more than 1cm, it can't make that much difference. I'm sure any double-din would fit.

I haven't been on as frequently lately and missed this entire thread. Wow that car is beautiful!

I've promised my vehicle that sometime in the future I'll do the same thing with it

I've been driving it for six years so I know it deserves that kind of pampering. It looks like hard work but the results are stunning!
