I just think its too much clear for my liking, and they are not a 100% match. Just my opinion.

More pics of your wife...err...I mean car!

Great idea to stuff the seals with that hose! Do you remember what size hose it was?

Sure they're not to everyone's taste, but one of the few alternatives to the arguably 'Volvo' look of the originals. They are a perfect match of the original amber portions, but of course the heavily facetted pattern of the reverse lens is quite different.

If anybody is interested, contact CPR who is selling them - maybe you think they look better on his?

I opened up this mess again, to be honest I waited this long because I have no idea where to put this stuff, there is simply not enough space for all the stuff I've got in here!

Then I saw it, its been staring me in the face all this time ................. my car does not have airbags!!
The Hub, Blue-tooth and i-Pod adapters fit in there easily.

Now I can fit the auxiliary fuse box with the ECU behind the passenger foot-well.

Brilliant! And even a picture of the trim on the passenger side. Just barely...

Unusual angle lol, I bet you've never seen it from here! I lend my camera to a friend so I used my phone camera for the first time - I'm impressed.
We've got a car show coming up next weekend so I decided its a good opportunity to finish all the little details before then.

Maybe we can get a good picture of the finished product with all the trim in place at the show?

And, sadly, I have seen the trim from that angle, I've spent plenty of time in the 'astronaut' position working under the dash before.

Cheers!

I bought a new wheel...I hated getting in and out and my thighs rubbing the old one. And my wheel was mint. I gave it to a young lister in Dallas for the cost of shipping a couple of Xmas's ago.

I was planing on getting something like Greg but I'm scared he might think I'm copying him. (If only I could convince my wife to do an avatar...........)

Jokes aside I was planing on getting one but then Jagaeng was kind enough to make me the horn pad and although I agree it does look rice in the pics it actually look much better in real life I'll try and get a better pic once I've got everything finished in the next week.
I might still get one in future but for now I'm happy with what I've got.

The wood trim is kind of old school so I think the old school wheel is ok as well. I've pondered having Rob Budd or Paul Champagne recover my wheel and use contrasting champagne stitching to dress it up a bit...

That will look super.

My biggest regret is the stitching on my car, I should have had all the champagne leather double stitched with red thread.

I just finished cleaning up the wiring everything is eventually neat and in place, can't believe I never thought of putting the stuff in the vacant passenger airbag space.

I did make one mistake though, I listened to some music from my I-pod while working, and in some stupid moment I let a + wire touch the chrome casing of my I-pod, there was just a very small spark and then everything went silent.

My I-pod still work but the ICE says its not connected. I tried it in my Colt Rodeo but that system also says its not connected - its actually good news - much easier to take the I-pod in for repairs than taking the ICE out of the car not knowing which component failed.
