Even with the LS2 or 6 engine in a 944, You're looking at 650 rwhp min. out of that Camaro. Did you two actually make a few runs.. from a dig?

He wanted to go from a roll, 20mph on three. First run I heard him brake boosting and went early. Second run was dead even until the top of my 3rd where I had half a car, and we ran out of road. I had 16" Club Sports, while he had 18's and a passenger. He started in 1st gear, I in 2nd.

Yes, Michael's car is equipped with a Magnacharger and a Renegade hood. Talk about an ANIMAL. It made 350rwtq.......before the blower

The STS is a type of Cadillac, and I don't know of any car that came with a 422 cubic inch motor. I think the 422 is a Lingenfelter stroker motor they sell aftermarket.

Since noone ever answered this guy

A 422 is a stroked motor and STS is a turbo company

Nice cars if I kill either one of mine this is the route I will go

How do you all keep from blowing up the transmission? I thought these things were kind of fragile.

Scuba Steve- He at least went with a 951 Trans. Better then the regular 944 N/A trans, but not exactly the strongest. I would have to go with an S2 trans as my first choice, then a 88TS-89T trans.

Just stay off any hard launches, and it'll last! haha, hard launches, if you tryed to launch that thing hard it would just ROAST!

Hi Carbon- As soon as my tuner gets back from Italy he's on it. He wants to do his cam swap, which is averaging 430/410 to the wheels in an LS2. I told him let's do the tune first and cam when I get tired of the power it has.

Steve- About the only V8 car to have trans issues was one where his son was doing 2nd gear burnouts with his buddies in the car. And that one lasted a year before it gave up.

Leaving for home yesterday, my co-workers were looking for some sort of display of power. Now, they're use to the tremendous smoke shows from my Lightning (which I don't drive much anymore because the 948 rules). So I bury the throttle in 1st, and short-shifting at 5K rpm, spun my 18's up to 4th gear, traveling maybe 40 yards total.

I don't think they know enough to be impressed
