I'll need some clearance for this:
http://www.galebanks.com/twin-turbo-engine.cfm
I got the kit, not the complete engine.
That is pretty awesome. Although it wont fit in the 944 bay. You got roughly 6" from valve cover to wheel well/shock tower on the passengers side and less on the drivers side. On the passengers side youll have the alternator/accesory braket and such which flirts with the radiator and headlight bar by about 4". Its super tight in there. The only bay area forced induction possible so far has been the magnuson blower....which is what MichaelB has.

There IS the STS turbo system that can be installed rearward. Youll have to cut out the spare tire well and patch it to make room though. Im betting that a cam and port job on an LT/LS would be MORE than enough bang for anyone however. These engines just keep pulling no matter the gear...as if you were being pulled by a freightliner. Your headrest will get some wearing-in

poor little unsuspecting mustangs. LOL.

On every board, there seems to be those that think "nothing" can beat their XXX cars. There's ALWAYS somebody faster.

Todd- That's so true. But I will say those Ford guys are much more performance oriented.

Tell me about the car in your avatar....I dig that color. Are those C5 wheels?

I think rennlist is pretty good at keeping humble, unlike most forums.. at least thanks to that ford site I know now that the n/a's were a joke.

You've got to have thick skin when dealing with a meat-head Cobra boy like that. Besides, you could always pull the "cornering card" on him!

The kit is already in my garage, the 951 is in the garage. I WILL find a way to get them together.

Your car is too sweet. I love everything about it from the color to the RUF wheels to.. the ls2. Have you thought about a turbo rear valance?

Thank you Mike!

It's funny you mention it, as I just bought a turbo valence. I'm debating whether to accumulate the rest of the turbo body parts as well. The sleeper thing is pretty damn fun, but I don't think most people know the difference anyway.

I wonder if you could make a pseudo-sequential setup with the rear-mounted STS feeding a larger K28 or something huge in the stock location...

Nobody ever mentions the cost involved or goes into detail. I would like to know total cost, time involvement and down time, did you wrench, total parts inventory, etc etc.

It would be of great help in threads like this. finished product is great but lay the road for others.

thanks

per my usual reply go to www.porschehybrids.com full of people that have actually done it with no herb tarlek type sales pitch even quite a few roll your own cost can range from a modest sub 10K car included to the sky is the limit roll your own if you got fab and machine shop skills can be sub $5k done right biggest mistake most people make is start with a $100 POS and by the time you just fix what needs fixed you got a ton of cash in a roller as the old saying goes there is nothing more expensive than a cheap porsche no matter the powerplant
