I just dug around on google and found a post on roadfly about the SOK folks.
**Disclaimer** I just ripped someone on another post for dissing a shop (the shop I use in Phx) in a chat. Bad, incorrect and incomplete data and it's easy to do that where there's no accountability (chat room...). Therefore I'm not qualifying the following, just sharing it.

I will. That was just the first post I found. As I said, I don't believe in blasting honest folks without first hand experience, I just wanted to share.

On a 944 you will get the same result. Some people say "Power below 2,500 will not be as good on a centrifugal supercharger". I own a 944S, the only time my motor is below 2,500 is at a stop sign or cruising down the highway - so it's a non issue.

I guess I don't see any reason to spend all the money on a SC then lug around town with the engine at idle speed just to prove the low end boost is needed. Rev the f*cker! (maybe that's why my bearing whent -kaping).

...not to mention that a load at 3,000 RPM is easier on rod bearings than a load put on the motor at 1,000 RPM. Lugging the engine is harmful, as is full boost at idle speeds. (Ten bucks says THAT statement will start a war...)

$4k sounds great. I'd get that for my 944 future track car. (currently garage queen). And if you decide to do a 968 kit for about the same amount, i might consider that as well. Currently 968 Turbo kits are ~$20k+ at this point.

If a factory 951 IC can be added to your kit with just some plumbing changing - that will be a huge feature vs trying to stuff one of the air / water setup the 928's are using.
Someone post a 951 front end with the nose panel removed.

Carl, will the kit work with a 951 intercooler and would you ever use one or will it be a custom intercooler placed in the nose of the S2? You can find 951 intercoolers pretty cheap on Ebay. Keep up the good work. The nose panel on the 951/S2 had a lot of space up there.

The reality is is that the kit won't sell for $4k. It probably wouldn't even sell for $2500. SoK makes one now for less than $4k (that includes everything including the chip) and he gets ZERO interest. I mean guys don't even call him or email him! 944 owners are on a completely different level of cheapness than 928 guys. They'll talk about it endlessly on the net but when it comes time to part with the green, forget about it.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it though
