I assume you left the holes for emblems... if you didn't don't drill holes! Just stick them on... I filled mine in when I repainted the '73 figuring it was a few less places to potentially rust and just used tape like the new cars. Also filled in the antenna hole as I figured a radio was pretty useless in that car as you couldn't really hear it anyway!
Glad to see you removed the warts on the front fenders!!
(whoever you bought that from would NEVER recognize it's done)

Yeah, it took me about an hour to work through to the optimum solution: 3M emblem tape. I agree that more holes are bad. I also filled my antenna hole (which was non-stock, on the right side of the cowl).

Back in town and back to work. I tried to vacuum and blow all the tubes and ducts clear of abrasive that the paint shop missed. I got some sand from the heat ducts.

And another inventory of more stuff: rebuilt calipers, new injectors, and re-webbed seat belts.
The seat belts are now yellow--more yellow!

Love the yellow belts. I got red ones from seatbeltplanet for the '73 to kind of match the bahia red. Did you stay with 4 bolt hubs or upgrade to 5 bolts?

More work on post-paint body prep.
One problem was where the dustless blasting did not completely remove the undercoat the PO sprayed everywhere. Worst was the upper right in the engine compartment. Some paint had already peeled, and after probing I turned to a wire brush and sandpaper.
The other bad spot was the right suspension ear, and the right engine mount.
After cleaning and primer.

I then attacked the seams, where the shop had applied too little or missed entirely.
Floor plugs.
Inside the front right fender.
And inside the rear right fender.
And some extra sealer in the hell hole.

When this is finished are you ever going to knowingly drive it in the rain?? Of course, no snow!!
Realistically speaking when do you figure it may be road worthy???????

I suppose if I never finish it, then rain is not a worry...
My semi-unrealistic goal is to have it running by June, and then finalized for our local Labor Day car show.

Really enjoying this thread...
I would be pretty disappointed with a body shop that missed the seam sealer and the areas which should have been prepped better... Did their work match your expectations (i.e. did you only want them to paint it prepped as-is, or was their remit to include proper final prep)?
Either which way, the only way forward it to fix it. Are you going to do the topcoat yourself, or take it back to the shop?
I've done a fair bit of painting in the past, and it is a really big job to do right, especially without a booth...
