I almost afraid to think that far ahead. I can imagine installing all the wiring and plumbing, suspension, brakes, etc., and even building up the motor. The rest is still over the horizon.

Here's the work space, ready for the newly painted body.

The big day, bringing the freshly painted car home from the shop. BTW, the color is the current Porsche Racing Yellow.

Getting ready to transport. Once on the trailer, the car was supported on a wooden cradle that sat on jack stands.

Unloading at home. Many thanks to great friends Mike and Chuck.

Back home again, after 3 months at the shop and 13 months since I started.

Paranoia about scratching doors and lids, so they will rest in the coat closet inside.

Congratulations on a big step! Do you have any idea what that naked chassis weighs approximately?

Glad to see it back in your garage- that has to be a big relief. If you have spare blankets or moving pads I would wrap those doors and hoods and engine lid completely. Now let the fun begin.

Speaking of shiny, other new parts continue to arrive. Here are rebuilt front calipers from PMB.

I got my front valence back from the powder coat shop after they blasted it, and could more clearly see (and feel) a few small dents.

I got to play again with my hammers and dollies.

And before starting reassembly, I have a few things to do on the body.'

A few first steps today. First I cleared the overspray from the VIN on the inner fender wall.

And re-attached the VIN tag to the A-pillar.

I also rescued the rear emblems from the engine lid, where the PO had attached them with lumps of putty. One stud was repaired and then broken again.
