I'm certain it will bend right back? If not - it should allow you a tad bit of extra castor and toe out? Should be especially great on right hand turn-ins???

Knowing the guys at 9M Warrington I'd say they usually can do miracles so a small matter of a teeny weeny bend would be done during a tea break. PS, if we left the bend as is I could take up oval racing ?

Having seen your work, I'm quite certain the you can, indeed, straighten them...!!! However, if it were left up to me - I'd simply send them to you for straightening??

MajorDad, you have good taste in cars and colors. Sepia Brown is classic Porsche, but I could be biased. I too have a Sepia Brown 911S . You will love it.

Well, I just realized you chickened out and did not go back with Sepia. I like the color you painted it, but I can tell you that Sepia is a pretty rare color these days here in the states due to the fact that so many hated it at one time and repainted their cars with more acceptable colors. I am happy to have a color that you don't see everyday and is original. I am sure yours will be just as unique, just not Sepia.

Thanks Mebersfeld, It was an anagosing decision. I hope to keep the car at least for 8 more years til its 50 and I reckon then either two things, someone will buy it and paint it as they like , or maybe I will paint it Sepia.

I grew up in Ireland in the 60s and was influenced by awful British Leyland cars which came in colours close to Sepia. Perhaps I need a Psychriatrist, ops! , i'M MARRIED TO ONE !

Well, the good news is that we're still plodding away with little bursts of enthusiasm.

This week the interior of the car has been masked off so we can wet flat the exterior ready for machine polishing. This job takes 4-5 days for the whole car, we hit the clear lacquer with 1200, 1500 and 2000 paper before polishing with coarse, fine and superfine compounds. There is no other option than to turn on the radio and lose yourself to the task, thank goodness that Neil does not have to answer the phones!
