TYD was a little off for my transport. I was on the Wolfsburg but I got the TYD update that I left port while marine traffic still had the Wolfsburg docked. The position on TYD did not match the marine traffic map but I was definitely on that ship. Hoping mine arrives at the dealer today. Started production April 18th. delay in production but has been on a normal schedule once it completed production.

Is it still in production and when did it start?

The info in the TYD metadata is inconsistent, though. The lat/lon is middle of the channel, but the boat ID says Supreme Ace, which still shows moored. I guess the SFL Conductor left recently, also. Pick a boat...any boat...
Ignore the lat/long data. I think TYD just takes the projected time of the ship's journey, divides it up into daily segments, and plots your car along that path accordingly. Case in point: My car is on a boat rounding the tip of South America, but TYD shows it heading towards the Caribbean.

Once you use the TYD hack to determine what boat you're on, just track that boat manually and ignore TYD altogether.

Production started 3/7 and was schedule to be done early April. Didn't get any updates until mid-april saying that end of production has been delayed to 7/12. Got an update 6/28 saying production complete and another update 7/2 saying heading to port. Hope this helps.

what’s even more surprising is that the dealer installed this with the 4RS lettering during PDI, knowing it’s a Spyder.

Jeez. Stories like this are starting to remind me of 2023 Z06 threads.

The lip is always installed by the dealer and they probably had the intern do it :P

yes WP, standard wheels, buckets front axle lift no PTS started production middle april still waiting to finish scheduled for 7/19
I dont know why they bother starting production if they dont have the parts to finish

Agreed. Just-in-time production system….or just-late? 😔

Maybe wrap a small sliver of PPF on that edge of the clamshell?

It's ppf'd over there. Just saying I wish Porsche had a better solution for the tension wire. Maybe like a hard piece of rubber for that area or something.

The Germans on pff.de are saying Porsche got EU cyber security regulation exemption yesterday for 4RS and SRS to continue production until 06/30/2026. No idea what that means for NA but maybe the rumored end of production for all 718 October this year is fake news.

RS models continuing for EU has been discussed, yes some sort of small production waiver/exemption.

Government exemption certificate date not related to 718 sunset in Oct 2025. That was proprietary information leaked -- people were fired because of it.
