Being Seattle area myself, I know the feeling of wanting it for summer time. My BGTS is in bay area now waiting transport up here. I'm hoping to have it around end of month.

Update for me… dealer submitted warranty claim, getting racetex a-pillars. Known issue. wonder what other special parts I have, yikes!

Did you check the naca ducting under the plastic cover? The gt4rs thread shows one side being crushed closed due to incorrect wiring harness installation. Might be more than one instance of this.

It’s a takes a little finesse now with the ducting.
Anyway mine all plumbed correctly.

@TXshaggy Any nuances of removing that you care to share?
Certainly another disqualifying “feature” of the 718 RS. Top compared to these is quick and simple.
When I went out to picture them they weren’t fully seated since my last install.
Anyway, there is a slotted tab and a flexible rubber insert as well as the rubber channel.
Have fun!

I’m surprised that no one has commented on these little devils and the 7 levels of Hades to install. They deserve their own thread

^^^ @TXshaggy So you have to do this to remove the cowl cover and gain access to the battery etc?

I wonder if you can verify you DON'T have a crushed air duct without removing this. Although, if you need to do it to get to the battery, probably a wise idea to know how.

You'll remove this panel for access to CL removal tool. compressor, battery, etc...
Probably something you want to dry run.
