looks darker than carmine. Carmine is already too dark, IMHO. Guards is a bit too light and has hint orange.
That said, I love my guards red GT3. I would pick guards over carmine, but I’d pick a red like Rossa corsa that is in between those two reds.
I think someone did Ferrari red PTS for their 718 Spyder on RL somewhere, which I preferred over both guards and carmine.

Found it. Actually someone who did Rossa Corsa on their 991.2 GT3. That color however doesn’t appear in the current PTS color options.
