I’m blessed to have both 1.2mt & 4rs. I only have less than 100 miles on 4rs as it’s just delivered 3days ago. So far I really like it even I don’t track. On hwy9 it’s a riot. On pagemill it’s a bit too firm to really push thus I’m looking forward to srs due to it’s softer setup. For my needs a srs in a close ratio 6mt is the ultimate 1 gt car solution but we don’t know if porsche is gonna make it happen or not. Let’s pray!

I'm looking at getting the SRS mainly because I can't get a new 4RS at MSRP. I'm ok with an SRS at MSRP because I think it will tend to not depreciate too much, but paying an ADM is off the table for me.
You should go for a 4RS, Spyder is not for you. Sorry, the 4RS is a regular GT4 with a GT3 engine, the same rear suspension problem on the track, the same steering etc. Do you want a better track & road car? buy a 992 GT3 or 992 GT3 RS. These are a big step compared to previous versions (I had), chassis and steering are the big change compared to the 991.2 or 718 GT line.
SRS is perfect for the road (well almost, maybe a manual will be better) and some track duties, 4RS is not perfect for track or the road either...

Does the thought that I might not get the car give you pleasure?

You do have a point. I have a 991.2 3RS and a 992 GT3 is coming in October. My interest in the 4RS is as a mid-engine track car which is the best they've ever made (I tracked a Cayman R and sometimes a 981 GT4), and I think the 4RS would be a fun road car also. The appeal of the SRS is mostly because of the open top as a road car. If I could get an MSRP 4RS, I'd do it, but that's not happening; not willing to pay way over $200k for the car.

Seems like you are at the point of buying any "limited" porsche product for MSRP. May rub some people the wrong way talking about getting cars in every thread for msrp when alot of people have trouble getting them.

Does seem a 991.2 3RS and 4RS would be super redundant. They are engineered to make slightly different noises though(3RS more howl, 4RS more intake), but i don't think that's enough of a difference to own both. I guess if you have the garage space to keep everything...

I also don't think it's the best track car they've ever made...at it's original MSRP it WAS the most affordable value GT car ever made...but after the $20k price bump and ADM...it's definitely not better than a GT3.

I’m not a VIP, so I can’t get all the cars I want. My MSRP requirement means that I have choose from what’s offered to me.

They offered him spots, or said what the spots would cost when they became available? In other words, were they willing to pre commit allocations?

I like the variety of rear-engine vs mid-engine.

samething if you calling about a 4rs allocation late2021/early2022 or even worse as 50k would be a steal back then.
