They do get straggler (unexpected) allocations after the main flow has ceased. That seems reasonable, given the complexities of managing this supply chain. I’m not saying they don’t play games, but I don’t think that example is proof, necessarily.

This guards build is pretty legit, imo.

As far as allocations, Porsche keeps the dealers in the dark, to foster a perception of scarcity and boost demand. I was clearly told by my GM "Porsche says no more 992 GT3 allocations, cancel all order demands," then a couple months later I was offered a "bonus" allocation. It's all a game, and we're being played.
Well, we have about 18 months of GT4RS production and associated allocations to draw some conclusions from. Whether the Spyder RS has the same production or demand is yet to be known -- but we have to start somewhere.

In general I don't see any GT4RS allocations going for less that ~$50Kish at this time.

Yes, economy can tank or any combination of variables could change the current dynamic, but I can only plan on a reasonable estimation of current trends.

Congrats on your bonus 992 GT3 allocation. Did you get it at MSRP? How would you describe your relationship with the dealer?

What's your prediction on the Spyder RS? Readily available to average dealer clients at MSRP or near MSRP?

My dealer told me a few months ago that demand for SRS at that point wasn't high, only 1 or 2 people were on his interest list, and not necessarily strong interest.

I have a good relationship with my dealer because of volume. I got the GT3 at MSRP, and expect to be able to get the SRS at MSRP. I don't have any confident prediction about pricing of the SRS for those who aren't set up to get it at MSRP. I think it could depend on the economy to some extent.

Allocations are being held until after reviews drop so the hype train goes up, Porsche knows how to market.

Exclamation Any dealers with available allocations? Spyder RS

Even after purchasing 6 Porsches in 15 years - I still have trouble getting the attention of my local dealer (who has gone down the tubes) - my last car I went 600 miles away and they hooked me up - but they aren't allowing orders for the Spyder RS - simply going to build them and ADM the heck out of them and you get whatever they order.

I don't mind the ADM (don't love it, but I get supply/demand) - but I want to customize my cars and this one is no exception. So - any dealers out there with an allocation yet unspoken for somehow?

If I were you I would start contacting as many dealers as you possibly can and see what they say; however, expect a large ADM (at least $50k).

Friend was told 100k ADM by a SoCal stealer for a Spyder RS allocation. I think initial allocations will be high for the first gotta have it people and then it will settle similar to GT3/4RS allocations at 50-70 over.

It took over a year for 4RS allocations to start coming down, or at least it felt like it. Will we have over a year?
