To add, drop tops are already a niche market.

Eh, could be hype to drive up demand. They can increase production if the demand is there.

Not sure I hope there are more (for my own sake). Then I don't have to decide between 493HP epic-ness / rare beast, and my exquisite current MT car.

Dakar and Sport Classic worth of limited production.

Spyder RS.... seems a stretch.

Quick data point from a small dealer SM I was talking to about allocations.

Not surprisingly, they already have a list longer than their "projected" allocations. Regardless he was quite happy to add me to the end of the list if I brought my Spyder to the table.

Here is the important part, he stated it would be a 2 year run. This makes sense as PAG has publicly stated 718 ICE continues 1-2 years post EV launch.

Anyway, take it FWIW.

Wondering if this is true. A second year might just get me in the door.

2 year production run sounds right but remember we're in year 2 for the 4RS already and look at the demand/ADM's. Started at 100k over and it's down to 50-65k over. They will also make less RS Spyder's than 4RS's similar to Spyder vs GT4.

I'm just being realistic here, don't want to get peoples hopes up for nothing. Tons of guys thought the 992 GT3's would be MSRP in 2 years after coming out, look at them now still asking 50-70k for allocations and used ones going for 40-50k+ over.

Yeah, but Spyder always demands less.

I was offered an “allocation” day after reveal for $75K.

Don’t know why PAG wouldn’t crank these out like puppies; especially with Osnabrucke expansion.

There is a good spec 4RS in SoCal that the dealer is asking $40k over. No idea if that's the new norm or not.

Oh I know, but the second model year should make at least as many US deliveries as the abbreviated first model year for the US, right? That puts me just about in a car.

And if they reveal MT for the second model year (I know I know)…gravy! Surely they’ll be tired of people whining by then.
