FWIW, my buddy's Cayman cluster was activated by @718socal for Nav before we found out the connector for the LVDS cable was missing. After activating Nav with MIBAIO his cluster display shows turn by turn navigation arrows even without the cable, he says he finds that to be very useful. I don't know if the cluster would do that if it wasn't coded for Nav with PIWIS.
That is encouraging as I'm a "no cable connection" cluster car. Now if I could just figure out how to code the cluster to use Nav via X431 I would be in business...

Contact @rubber_ducky . He is local to you. Compare your X431 settings with him.

@Z06jerry the turn by turn arrows get activated when you code the cluster with the NAV option. We coded the cluster on your friend's car. So he got turn by turn arrows, Altimeter, Compass and Auto time Sync plus MAP (no video because no Cable)

How is navigation enabled for a replacement PCM in a car that previously had navigation? My dealer tells me AIO will invalidate the warranty.

So interesting that you would even mention AIO to the dealer!? What was the point of that?

You should talk the dealer about NAV enablement after PCM replacement... They would seem to be your best bet with this.

Can you post pictures of your car or PCM? All of your questions were answered by @Westcoast or in this thread.

Add me to the list of people giving a massive thanks to @718socal for the initial investigative work to figure this out and just the same for his taking the time to get this enabled in my car.

I ran the LVDS cable a week or two back, which was not difficult at all - just be patient and gentle when pulling on things in the cabin. I did the install at the same time as running a wire to the mirror area for radar detector, installing a front/rear dashcam, and putting in the TDesign9 memory module. All went as smooth as possible, and I don't think the entirety took longer than 2 hours. I did have the help of a friend who's done dash cam installs before, and has experience pulling a gauge cluster; but besides moral support and constant reminders to take it slow - the prior experience didn't come into play at all.

Phil, really can't thank you enough for your availability to coordinate on short notice, and your patience as we navigated a laptop issue that had nothing to do with PIWIS or Phil or Porsche.....that was fun..

PRO TIP: Have a non-work issued laptop, running Win 10 - and one that you have full admin rights on. From there, be sure you've got a long enough wire for hardline ethernet to plug directly into your cable modem; and also you'll need to be sure that you can get into the admin panels of your cable modem/router to set up some port forwarding. Also, if you've got a new age laptop, you may need usb-c to ethernet or usb-c to usb-a adapters so that all of the peripheral connections can be made. Just a learning experience with the complications here, nothing that we couldn't overcome. But a pain in the butt nonetheless when I feel like I was wasting a good chunk of Phils' time on a weekend.

Anyway, for those on the fence, this is well worth it. The cluster display of the map info makes the cabin feel somehow instantly a bit more modern.

Phil, you're the man!! Thanks a million, without your efforts all of us here would have just accepted the prior Suncoast stance: "Can't be done".

My Dealer also said my top could not be coded to operate from the fob - wrong. With help from @718socal my Porsche ownership experience has been greatly enhanced.

@DreiPedals thank you for the detailed tips. That will benefit everyone here. I could spend anywhere from 3 hrs to 2 days or more in some instances for coding. Every situation is different. It is a good learning experience for both me and you. Go use that NAV now

did about 225 miles today already. All
running well and no return of any weird code from our prior discussion on code reading (not Phil or coding or LVDS related whatsoever). Backlit gauges are just the cherry on top too!

thanks again Phil!

Sorry if this has been asked and answered but this thread is fairly large. I'm an android user and have very little interest in using an iPhone. I'm picking up a 2023 GT4 with the nav package added on and was wondering if this solution would allow me to use android auto and use porsche track precision within android auto as well. Again sorry if this has been asked and answered.

Yes to AA
However I have not been able to get track precision app to work in AA without android hacking.

What android hacking did you have to do? According to the porsche track precision app it claims support for 982 with sport chrono, which I did spec.

I can't get the track app to appear on the pcm display like the Iphones can. Instead I screen cast the app to the pcm
The app works as long as the wifi is turned on, Chrono or not.
