I just sold my GT4 and moved into a Macan GTS. . .
I think many on this forum would say I lost my *ss compared to what I paid for the GT4 one year ago . . . the market has certainly changed.
It is all funny money at this point, but I will not digress into the state of worldly affairs . . .

I don't know if you can spec at 121k MSRP without buckets or PCCB? I think it would have to be PTS or have literally every other option selected...

You could always try haggling and say you will lock in today with X ADM. They're probably hoping someone will pay the ADM and if they don't the dealer will spec it and flip it for even more later.

Based on the delivery date we’re way past freeze point.

I’ve noticed the opposite in Canada - supply at a low of 16 nationwide (porsche finder) down from 26 in January / Feb. Prices went down from the frenzy of last year, maybe 4-5% but then held.

Assuming you're talking about the Porsche Fremont Spyder? I asked about that car and was going to go test drive it to consider buying it but they said that we must negotiate a final purchasing price and do all paperwork before letting me test drive. Yea...no thanks working with a dealership like that.
However, since then, now that I came to understand the market better, I changed my mind - Why should they let you drive the car? From a business perspective that is.
They have tons of interest, they can sell it to someone else (and they did) without spending time, mileage, etc. on a "difficult" buyer.
The thing is they have no way of knowing if you are a serious buyer or just want to check out the car.

I would not pay anything exceeding $10K over MSRP. As previously mentioned, most are selling $3-$5K over MSRP recently.

There are 10 "available" in the US and none are PTS or Miami Blue. I did find a Chalk white one that is a total steal at $13.

My understanding of the engine replacement process per the recall is that they are dropping in what is typically called a crate engine. Meaning it has everything from the block to the heads to the intake to the fuel system, wiring harness, etc. Much less room for error than if they were shipping out a crankcase with rods and pistons, a.k.a. a short block, and requiring the technician to transfer heads and chains and all of the rest of it. I would not be afraid of the former but I would be terrified of the latter.
Since the swap I have not had one single complaint. I think Porsche made sure our cars ended up being indistinguishable from factory fresh when done.

Instead of paying that ADM, I'd be watching Bring a Trailer. Some really nice deals lately on GT4 and Spyder, and many of them have looooow miles and the buckets and PCCB's that a lot of folks are looking for. I'd rather have that than ADM without the stuff I want.
I've subscribed to the BaT daily free e-mail listing of their active auctions for years. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that BaT did $1.37 BILLION in sales last year, which allegedly makes them bigger than Mecum Auctions. Given BaT's daily sales volume I believe it.
Please keep in mind BaT charges a 5% (maximum $5K) buyer's fee as opposed to any ADM you'll pay at a Porsche dealer. That said, I'd HIGHLY VALUE any CPO'd Porsche over a car bought from a private party, unless that private party vehicle is already covered by the fully-transferrable Porsche CPO coverage. CPO Coverage = Porsche OEM 4-Year warranty + 2-Year CPO coverage. Porsche CPO coverage is additive.

Good luck in your search! I feel extremely fortunate to have gotten an allocation last year for the 2022 6MT 718 Spyder parked in our garage. They are truly SUPERB cars that will put a HUUUUGE SMILE on your face every time you drive it!! The photo below was taken a week ago at our local PCA chapter monthly drive.
