Thank you! That's very reassuring.

Anything you'd recommend watching out for? I've never bought private party before. Looking back, I was way too cavalier here and feel like I'm in a tiny bit over my head now, haha!

Congrats! If it was a manual I would have bought it myself and sold my GT Silver. I love python.

I thought I wanted a manual until I took my 992 to the track for the first time this weekend.

After two days, I realized there's too much for me to play with as it is without having to worry about shifting myself!

I did NOT expect to win. I placed the bid casually (a little too casually in retrospect, lol), expecting it to get frothy in the last few minutes. That did not happen and now it appears I'm the unexpected owner of a gently used GT4.

With the buckets, I am quite happy. Don't really care for the PCCB since I am planning on tracking it and would rather have steel brakes, but it is what it is.

Sold for a shade under MSRP, +$5k BAT fee and transport. I feel like I got out pretty good!
Great pickup. Basically cars are trading at MSRP through private sales while dealers are offering 10-15k under MSRP on a trade in then trying to sell 10k above MSRP and not budging. Then there's some sellers right now who don't understand what the market is and still asking a big ask over MSRP which isn't warranted unless its a special spec.

You got a great spec for a great price, I bet you alot of people who have them coming in at a 10-20k markup are jealous right now.

I track mine too and can relate to that! Enjoy both in good health and welcome to the (awesome) GT4 community.

Well, I think you stated that you're shipping the car, so this won't be possible unless you're traveling to see it first. But normally I like to check it over for prior paint work, damage that has been repaired, etc. But given the mileage, condition and clean carfax, that's a small risk in this case. If there is a lien on the car, the money needs to go to the bank to satisfy the lien, and not directly to the owner. This avoids the (unlikely) scenario where a seller has a large loan and fails to use your funds to pay it off for some nefarious reason. Nothing else I can really think of, except for using a reliable enclosed transport service.

Nice! What a deal. I'll buy the exhaust off you if you don't want it. @Uncle Dude, you're probably right. lol

Congratulations and LOL!! I was watching your auction and thought "WOW...given the beautiful build and exhaust modifications that buyer got a GREAT DEAL!" You will LOVE your new car! I've got a 2022 Spyder that puts a huge smile on my face every time I drive it. These GT cars are simply SUPERB. ENJOY!!

Congrats and a nice pick up on a low mile car. Enjoy in good health! Unfortunately this shows that private party used GT4s are now mostly selling for around MSRP.

they will hit their slump for a few years, in another 10 years though a lightly used gt4 should be a collectors item.

Thanks, guys. Really appreciate the kind words and feedback.

By the way, BaT has an amazing business. $5k fee for providing a place to upload photos and take some bids? I'm envious!

I may have a lead on a brand new 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 MT in Ruby Star Neo with Chalk/black interior. It's got two-way Sport Plus seats and some other tasty options. MSRP is just over $105k and it's available now for $115k.

If you're interested, send me a PM with your name, contact info, and location.

Congratulations! BaT is full of single and first bid action win stories! Judging by the driving video that was posted, the car was not abused and like others have said, good options, some not available for allocations now, and you were right on the market pricing!
