Too funny. I would happily pay $10K less for 6-8K miles. At least it has been broken in and any obvious initial issues identified.

Yep that's pretty dead on, paid a few K over MSRP for mine (a 2023) with 10k on it. Driven. As God intended.

and part of the connecting rod recall. Looks like it had its replacement engine installed at 12 miles before delivery to the original buyer.

Which is perfectly fine, and comes with an 8 year warranty.

Agreed. I do find it interesting that the perception/stigma of this vs. the engines that have failed and been replaced by Porsche are quite different. One owner who had his engine fail took a big hit when he sold it and others, while their engine was replaced at no charge, were given no extended warranty.

Both situations constitute an engine being removed and replaced by Porsche, but the impact to resale value and warranty seem to be very different.

What kept the cost on the low side? Do I recall this being an engine replacement car due to the connecting rods? If so, I'd personally seek these cars out for the value! Factory replaced engine before delivery is no big deal and well documented. This is not a "numbers matching" hemi, we're talking about (a phrase made popular by Barrett-Jackson with people who wouldn't even know where to find the numbers let alone check them! so frustrating!).

Plus, most cars received an 8 year engine warranty for their troubles. I have two friends whose engines were replaced.

Doh! Silly me. I'll leave my prior post up because I like ranting about people who talk crap about non-numbers matching cars. (I've seen it first hand. Some people need to be slapped.)

Per the ad it had a "replacement six-speed manual transaxle the seller states was installed in June 2023"

I've heard of clutches going early, but don't seem to remember an entire transmission being replaced.

My '21 GT4 did. Hard time going into 2nd gear out of nowhere. Dealership replaced entire transmission. I asked what the issue was, they said they didn't know and it was standard procedure to replace vs repair/open a transmission.
