That's great that you were able to get a DME report. When I tried working with Mclaren SF they said there wasn't one and there's no need for one since the car has been regularly serviced.
https://www.mclarensanfrancisco.com/...c2a87ls289267/

Do track mods such as roll bar, exhaust, suspension mods, brakes, etc. increase or lower the value of used GT4 these days?

Feel like this should sell for $110k if it was stock, unsure if the track mods are increasing the value or what.

I personally would benefit from the track mods but instead of paying a premium for one I prefer paying less with a clean canvas and building from there.
Most people feel the same way and a track modded car reduces the number of potential buyers 😉

Turns out they were blowing smoke - they dont have it and said the same to me.

Edit: Sounds like the car is on consignment and the dealer cant authorize a PPI. I guess there might be path to go through the owner, but thats probably enough leg work to lose my interest.

They told me the same thing. They claimed the CPO extended warranty would transfer over but I confirmed with Porsche that it is canceled now that it’s being sold through a broker.

Would have been so much better for buyer/owner to work this out directly but oh well…moving on.

Just one more data point for you guys:
I ended up selling my Spyder after all (for reasons not related to how absolutely perfect this car is) and had several buyers lined up within 48 hours. The first guy that showed up purchased the car.
~117k MSRP, ~800 miles, 133k listed, 130k closed

The demand is definitely still high

Congrats on an easy sale. Demand is still strong here in the Bay Area.

Sounds like unplanned short ownership. I hope you replaced it with something equally fun.

Congrats on the sale. Demand will Riley stay where it is. The EV platform is not being welcomed well by the set that drives, tracks, loves these cars.

I'm really bummed: I had come to a verbal deal to buy a Boxster T and today the seller said he's keeping it! I was hoping for an April Fool's day joke, but no luck. So while I know this is a GTS and GT car thread, I just wanted to throw this out there since I'm looking for a Boxster GTS, S, or T in the 718 variety. I'm also open to the right 981 Boxster GTS or S. MUST BE MANUAL. I'm open otherwise on options. Should have 30k miles or less ideally.

TIA!
Adam

I'm going to be listing my car for sale around the end of April/beginning of May, so just putting it in here as a heads-up. Interested in hearing some opinions good or bad on the market price as I have not been following the market. I'm thinking somewhere around $125k as a starting point.

2021 Python Green Spyder, 6-speed, buckets, silver wheels, leather, painted rollbars, PLDS/Bi-Xenon, carbon fiber trim, Bose, plus some other small options. MSRP was about $115,000; delivered new from Porsche Riverside in December 2020. Currently at 10,600 miles, and would expect to be under 11,000 at time of sale.

Aftermarket options: Kline inconel OAP + muffler, PPF on front bumper/hood/front fenders/mirrors/rocker panels, ceramic coating, Soul valve controller.

Annual service performed January 2024, CA registration paid through December 2024. Car is virtually flawless with no dents, dings, scratches, etc.

As another data point, mine is 2021 GT4, guards red, 6MT, 8k miles, CPO, similar options/MSRP, and I will be starting around that same price point in May when my 4RS comes in. Not sure if there is much difference between a GT4 and Spyder in pricing right now.

I'm also debating listing mine this Spring and am right where you two are as well, ~$125k. '21 GT4, Gentian Blue, 6MT, 8,500 miles, $116.5k MSRP.

I know of a few other Spyders that were sold recently, and for "used" cars with some miles on them the price floats around MSRP.
For some reason, it is really important to people that those cars will be "new" with very low amount of miles.
I find it hilarious that 6-8k miles is considered "high mileage" and can drop the price by like 10k
