I have found a way to deactivate the shift recommendation in the instrument cluster. This results in a new menu item under settings (display) with which you can toggle on and off.

Was this on a 718 or a 981? Did it actually function for you on a US car? I keep reading so many conflicting posts, I'm not even sure if it is feasible. I feel like I have tried every option imaginable, including the ones shown here. It looks like the comfort top by remote options don't stay coded on. The windows function up/down via the remote as per the codes selected, but the top does not. I'm on a 981 Boxster.

Thanks for the help!

Adam is correct. There were a few different settings changed. I can only see those when I am connected to the car.

I’m on a 2015 981 US Car with a PIWIS II- would that be why? I’ve selected every option you have shown and still to no avail. Any other tips?

Sorry but I am not familiar with PIWIS 2. It should technically work on PIWIS 2. I can code this remotely for you just like Adam

As much as I would love to figure it out, I’m game for that. That’s basically the main reason I purchased the PIWIS lol. I do not want to install the smart top module if I don’t have to.

thanks!

If you decide to code remotely, you can scan your car with your PIWIS 2 and look at what changed. I just did not have enough time to document this because we were coding three cars that day. PM me

PM Sent. Where’s the easiest section to view changes made? Still figuring out the dev mode.

thanks

Not familiar with PIWIS 2. In PIWIS 3 go to Coding /Programming then Manual Code.

Turns out I over complicated it; if you only activate the options specifically from https://rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-...l#post18311530 then you'll get the proper operation of the top.

The windows were a different story. Currently my windows go all the way up when closing the top with the remote, but stop a 3/4 up when opening the top with the remote. I have changed a few options, but I will link the exact options on here for anyone that's interested. Obviously once I figure it out.

Thanks, 718socal for the assist!

Windows can be programmed to fully close once top is closed with remote. They cannot come all the way down with opening the top however. Less of a concern.

Glad I could assist. You should also post this in the 981 forum too 👍
