Another completed DeMan 4.5L 718 - Impression/review!

So I ran through the thread top to bottom and it’s never been posted so I am super curious now.
Maybe it doesn’t matter to most but I always read the 0-60 times in the reviews.
For the $50k-$60k you spend is the car actually quicker or is this investment more for the sound and feel of driving (a more spirited experience).
I’m one of those people that aside from gearing and exhaust I have zero issue with the performance.
Also is there a benefit to running higher octane in stock engines?

I don’t know what the 0-60 time is for the DeMan 4.5, but it’s gotta be better than stock.
Maybe this video will help if you haven’t seen it.

Listening to all of Matt's recent discussion about his car makes me want to ship mine to SoCal and enjoy it now, rather than waiting for the longggggggg Midwest winter to pass
@JAhmed you should definitely ship it out! I have a space open behind my Spyder at the moment since I am down to one car at the moment. Close to the airport too. I am like a mile west of Matts garage. Plus lots of national Porsche events coming up in California this year.

Great VDO from Matt! He states that he needed to bring the power up to the level of the chassis. While that specifically may be true (ie that the chassis can handle more...) Im not sure that with 565/440 HP/TQ that his car is not now overpowering the OEM suspension components and brakes. Even the RS with less HP/TQ has some significant upgrades in that department. I think Matt wanted a cobra like hot road roadster (and to be 'comfy') - and he definitely got that! I am in awe of this motor though and would jump on it if I thought it would improve MY experience in my GT4.

Wow Matt's car is pretty perfect. Probably drives as good as cgt. Just doesn't have exotic looks of cgt or 458 speciale. He loves z06 too so would like him compare those 2

If you've ever heard a CGT rev its engine (and how it falls to idle instantly), you wouldn't mistake it for any Flat-6...

Carrera GT has carbon tub and double-wishbones at all 4 corners and 5.7L V10 engine derived from Formula One and best manual gearbox ever. I'm sure Matt's Sypder is nice, but let's keep our feet on the ground

@Rick DeMan have you been looking at the GT4RS yet? What can you do to those?

I'm keeping my 718 engine stock to appease the emissions gods, but the first order of business after it was shipped to me was I got it up to Rick to drop in 2-5 ratios and an LSD. 10/10, highly recommend. Here's what they look like out at Lime Rock (wish I had a track day with stock ratios to compare directly):
