Thanks! Sadly it's gone to a new home and we're moving out to CA in a month. The move was ultimately the reason for the sale—the 981 won't appease the CA emissions gods and I don't want to play the out-of-state registration game, so I sold and had to settle for a stock 4.0L (some real first world problems, I know). I'll throw a Cobb Stage 1 tune on it now that they've gotten CARB approval, so at least I can claw my way back to 400 WHP, but man will I miss that instant torque 😭

And the 718 is stored-ish—if I have time, I try to get out if the temps aren't too low and there isn't salt on the road. Usually do drives with CCC or just solo up to Hayfields. Feel free to drop a PM, maybe we can find a weekend with cooperative weather and meet up.

To be fair we literally had a thread on here for Dragy times that was reasonably popular, lots of people with a 4.0 took part and even Dundon posted a time.

Hey, since when are you the spokesperson for DeMan Motorsport?
I'd truly appreciate if you could refrain from making these kind of ignorant, rather borderline inflammatory comments. Thank you

DeMan Motorsport has a 1 year warrantee, transferable to new owners.

Good day all

I apologize if I misrepresented your service. That was the answer I was given when I inquired. I'm glad to hear that there is a warranty.

This has always been our policy.

Do you have a copy of your communication with my company stating that? Who did you talk to?

Regards

I went back and looked in my inbox. It seemed I was over the limit and cleaned it out as it is no longer there. If there is a warranty, that does change the calculation as that was not the understanding.

It was on Rennlist as I was looking to DeMan my 981 Spyder. Rennlist has limited inbox sizing.

As stated, if there is a warranty, that was not made clear previously. I no longer have my 981 Spyder but if I had kept it, that was the route I was looking at going. I can't seem to find the warranty Ts & C's in the web site either so I'm sure that adds to the confusion as I'm sure that was another place I went to look when I was doing my research. If you could link them, that would help. I know when I called the shop I was unable to talk to you as you were with another customer. I got my 718 allocation and did not pursue it further.

I do have a 5000 email limit on my RL account and have all the communications with you.
Funny, not a single question from you about warrantee or a statement from me about warrantee anywhere in the 6 or so exchanges we had.

I did see you started a thread asking "who is better, BGB or DeMan", that thread kinda got a bit of a negative reaction from all that posted on it and I asked you to please close it as it was a less than positive experience for both companies.

And now you take a dig at DeMan with an inflammatory, not factual statement.

Well, this has been fun...

Enjoy your Spyder

This is a forum where we discuss our cars. Is everything always 100% accurate? Absolutely not and that is why most people on here, including me, appreciate it when something is not correct and it is corrected. However, that does not make it inflammatory and at no time did I attack your business. I am a potential customer who, as you noted, have been researching this mod and compared it against other similar mods and almost did it on my previous vehicle. I'm here like everyone else to learn and discuss and sometimes something that is not 100% accurate gets repeated--but thankfully corrected. That's why this is a community. I have never disparaged your product so I don't know why the aggressive stance. I did start a thread comparing you to a competitor as such threads are rife on this site as potential customer compare exhausts, tuning etc. There was nothing malicious about it, simply due diligence for a significant investment. If I repeat something that I apparently didn't hear from the right source, by all means correct it but taking me as someone who is out to disparage your business is an incorrect assumption.

If I'm wrong, I have no problem being corrected. I would love to see the terms and conditions on the warranty to see what's covered. Can you link that?

You sure are spending a lot of time reinforcing your stance..

You stated "that's the answer I got when I inquired"

Then you doubled down and said "in an email I got that response"

Then you tripled up and said "oops, they were deleted"

And now, when you are exposed as basically someone who lied, then tried to cover it you want to deflect and make it anything other than you.. behind your keyboard acting like you did nothing wrong..

Well guess what!!

No soup for you ever!! I'd not do business with you.

Too bad you can't answer the octane questions with the same vigour.
