FWIW, from someone who spent 2 years tweaking DSC settings in a 981, when on a dealer test drive in the 718, I purposely drove into, and along, road imperfections, and didn't feel the need to change anything. This just "driving around"...where I may, or may not have, allegedly drove upwards of 80mph. Where as on stock controller, I wasn't/am not happy just driving to my local store in the 981. That said, I did take possession with 30k miles on the dampers, now at 47k.

As always, YMMV.

PCCB's were not available at the time of order, we had a new set in stock and installed with RED calipers..

pfft! But it ‘needs’ 4.5L, new gear set and LSD… but not suspension work or coilovers! Oy…

So at 1:15:39 he describes how M-Engineering is essentially the grad school version of Cobb Tuning.
Am I wrong?

In full disclosure, I've got the Cobb Stage 1 tune on my Spyder and it is transformative.
The tunes don't seem to match up on the dyno data available either.

My car has an M-Engineering tune and it seems to run pretty well. Tuning is like witchcraft to me though, so that is the extent of my assessment/commentary.

That seems a fair assessment to me. I bet there's a lot of programming kung fu in there.

I’m personally curious what the 0-60 drops to with the new motor? Has anyone measured it (sorry if it’s in the thread !)

He's getting a 992GT3RS and sending it to Rick for the first 4.8L conversion...

So I ran through the thread top to bottom and it’s never been posted so I am super curious now.

Maybe it doesn’t matter to most but I always read the 0-60 times in the reviews.

For the $50k-$60k you spend is the car actually quicker or is this investment more for the sound and feel of driving (a more spirited experience).

I’m one of those people that aside from gearing and exhaust I have zero issue with the performance.

Also is there a benefit to running higher octane in stock engines?
