I agree, your car looks really nice with the classic interior and black roof. I was going to get aftermarket carbon fiber interior trim since you can’t choose that on the classic interior without going the exclusive route. I saw this option on my search before. https://shop.db-carbon-interieur.de/...Boxster_Spyder
Those seem like the route I’ll end up going. I was trying to go black leather with it, mostly because I love how it looks around the console, but the door trim issue kept coming up. I’ll probably end up doing matte carbon fiber to make it a little more unique.
The car is finally PPFd and ceramic coated. I’m trying the hyperdip option for the spyder logos tomorrow morning. I’ll take some good photos with the roof up and down to give you a good idea of the color scheme/contrast
Happy New Years everyone! Just got a allocation for a 718 Spyder and struggling with color options. Is anyone else thinking of ordering Arctic Grey with classic interior and red roof? Hard to tell how it will look based on the configurator. Do you guys think it’s a bad idea?
don't do it, too blue of a hue it will look awful
spyder classic goes best with black, gt silver, chalk, & white and that's about it
Are you going to go with that stripe you have laid out in this last snap?
I haven’t decided yet - I ordered it for my previous car (chalk BGTS) and never got a chance to put it in before I swapped to the spyder. Will probably slap it on next time I have a few hours, worst case will just take it off if I don’t like it
Anyone have any thoughts on why the Arctic Grey looks so crazy dark on the 911 configurator? It’s nothing like the actual color. -hyp
I think it looks like the actual color would in the kind of light that's represented. This color can shift pretty dramatically even just walking around the car.

I realize there is variation in how the paint looks, but I have a hard time seeing the image below as representative of how this looks in person. Super dark, very little blue overtone, and the way the black parts sit in the color don't look anything like the images in this thread...

I own a car in this color, and I don't have a hard time with it. That's what the color looks like.
edit: try switching the background, that may help shift your perspective; at least it did with the 718 configurator.
In the end it's just a render in the configurator to let you imagine what appeals to you; this is the type of color that needs to be experienced because it does certainly look pretty dramatically different under different conditions. I can't really think of another color like it actually.... You really have to just go find a car in this color, ideally the type of car you're interested in.
