FWIW, my 981 GT4 gives me at least 80% of the enjoyment I got from the 4RS. The 4RS has a more dramatic soundtrack and looks more exciting, but the GT4 has manual. The driving dynamics of the two cars are surprisingly similar on the road, though I expect the 4RS trounces the GT4 on track. Patrick3000 correctly advised me not to sell the GT4.

You can't compare lap times on a random HPDE day between varying levels of drivers. Danny who is #1 is an insane driver and if you gave him the 4RS I bet his lap times would be similar to his 991.2 GT3.

Yeah, he has no fear while I have a hefty fear of going off and hurting myself.

Bottom line, it's faster than a modified GT4 and will be even faster than stock GT4, no comparison on track.
Even with a helmet on, my ears were ringing after the session. Once you cross 7k, the noise gets you. One or two sessions are fine, but if you plan on tracking that beast, get ear plugs.

I expect the 4RS to be more than 1 sec per minute faster than the 718 GT4, on equal tires. About the same delta as 992 GT3 RS vs GT3. It's not a huge delta, but it's significant.

GT4RS: 2:40.5
718 GT4: 2:50.3
981 GT4: 2:54.0
4RS was on Cup 2 R but that's only good for about 3-4 seconds max of that 10 second advantage.
