GT4 RS Allocation Thread
#1996
Thing is, you are one of the lucky ones at MSRP. Good for you, and genuinely happy for all that scored one at MSRP. Question, what do you propose for the rest of us? The demand is greater than supply, that is a fact. So, a lottery perhaps and take our chances? Will you give up your MSRP allocation and enter the lottery? Didn't think so.

Slow, but progress.
GT4RS ED cancelled, trying again with GT3RS but scheduled for December…Spain / Portugal?

Here’s a dealer email I received for a 201k MSRP 4rs sitting in the showroom.

We will pull these messages in the next economic downturn when news channels are showing car dealerships going bankrupt and car salesman crying that they cannot pay their mortgage as they did in 2008. I still remember those days. Karma is a bitch, what goes around does eventually come around.

Here are some facts for ya':
881 New Car Dealers closed during the financial crisis of 2008. There are 18,220 New Car Dealers. So yeah, let's have another financial meltdown so all these sleaze ball dealers can get there comeuppance for charging ADM's and another .5% of them will go bankrupt and close. That'll sure show em'!

Believe me, if my local dealerships would sell their GT cars to me for MSRP I would give them all of my business in terms of buying non-GT cars and even servicing the cars that I bought from them but alas all the 2 closets local dealers are AutoNation vampire stealers who I wouldn't buy a bottle of water from even if I was dying of thirst.
It seems/sounds like your expectations are not realistic. Would you buy a 120K Loaded Macan GTS, Today, at MSRP on the promise that someday (with no promise of when) they'll let you get a GT product at msrp? I'll answer for you... NO, no you wouldn't! Just like you shouldn't expect them to sell you a GT product at MSRP on the promise you'll only buy and service cars from/with them from now on. They already have more customers that do that than the allocations they get. Why should they risk already stable relationships on the word of someone who's not a loyal customer?

I'm not saying that it's easy and the majority of people pay ADMs for the GT3s and GT4RSs because of demand being greater than supply. I think maybe a fair way to go about giving out MSRP allocations would be a lottery style system where you get more ping pong ***** based upon the number of cars that you've purchased over the years (sorta like the NBA draft lotto). In the perfect world, US Porsche dealers would sell their GT cars for MSRP like in Canada and the rest of the world and they would prioritize their good and/or local customers and anyone who flips their GT car/s within 6-12 months gets blacklisted from future GT cars.
Recently, there is a new line item on the BoS, 'performance package', not added by Porsche Canada but by the dealers, a few thousand dollars, ADM in another name.
