Okay, @Westcoast if we are to get a sniff of a new car, it'll absolutely be at the monster ADM level. Are you mentally preparing to shell out $300k to become one of the lucky few? I am resigning myself to that reality, if I actually intend to go through with it. The question needs to already be answered in your head when / if you get the call. The chance at a non-ADM dealership is essentially negative. lol Even the "opportunity" to pay $300k is probably close to zero.

That says not announcing spyder rs until May? Assuming it is an inclusive list. That’s a long time from now, considering all the photo ops they’re dropping.

Spyder RS and Carrera T November 2022... May 2023 is a Numbered Special Edition for the Cayman... my bet a Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur model similar to the Boxster 25 Edition.

I have fully disowned my cleaning lady after her fatal mistake, but she still sends me "can we be friends?" letters. So for whatever it's worth, she says RS SPYDER Announcement in nov, production in March, one year production 1000 units. She also mentioned Adrift gets an allocation at msrp if he would just call the Porsche Russland dealer in Novosibirsk and offer to pay in Rubles. Da.

I'm sorry, but putting the GT3 motor with a MT in a coupe (as opposed to the rag top) is counter intuitive. I'm not saying it won't happen, just saying it is less logical. And if they ARE developing a MT for a Cayman R, then that same MT could go in the spyder. Ahem

The Boxster 25 is like that too, I dig it. It is a Matte Black sort of finish, almost like some sort of rubbery coating.
(That is a Spyder Ducktail Spoiler on there on my Boxster 25 - but now it looks small compared to the Spyder RS Spoiler, LOL!)

Ah, fair point. I assumed any special edition car, at this point, would be a GT3 motor car, but something "in the middle" could be nice, too. But would it be anti-climatic? A tweaked 9A2 Evo motor instead?
At least in my head, the coupe is the more track-focused variant, and the spyder more street (by merit of aero and roll-over safety, if nothing else). The MT definitely loses a step to the pdk on the track, even more than the street, so if you're going to put a MT in only one of the two cars, the cab makes more sense. My only reservation in this logic is that the coupe appears to sell better (at least in GT format), but if it is a limited edition anyway, that aspect is neutralized. A MT Spyder R would be the speedster corollary.
Plus, if you could put the gt3 motor + MT in both, all of a sudden, why not do that, instead?

But I just don't see the point in making a "less special" final edition car, which is limited production anyway (unless it replaces the normal 718 production). You don't need (or even want?) reasonable pricing for a limited run car.
