The RS(s) are the “special” cars.

Expect there’ll be some numbered “final” edition cars that have special colors, decals, number plaques, etc. Similar to BGTS 25 or any number of 911, Boxster, Cayman numbered cars of the past.

Oh yeah. I had discounted the possibility of another paint and plaque special.

A Cayman R with hopped up 4.0L with less aggressive aero bits and no mega wing would have me in trouble.... I feel a new thread coming on.

Do the P&P specials usually have a few more HP? A power kit?

Not to drift too far away from this thread, but I think if they could get 450 hp out of the existing 4.0L engine (9A2?) then they could use the existing transmissions etc....The old Cayman R is a cool looking car, and this would get you close to that GT3 touring vibe in a Cayman. (made a new thread)

The 4RS doesn’t have x-pipe exhaust, right? So I assume this won’t get one (stock), either.

Nope, same as Spyder and GT4....when the valves open each cylinder bank dumps individually on each side, part of the reason for the awful exhaust sound on all 9A2 engine cars and now the GT4RS. Will be the same with the Spyder RS.

my dealer and old me the most each dealer will get is 7. That is only for the highest volume dealers. They traded a few other cars and now have 10 Spyder RS coming.

But it's the "stock" gt4/spyder exhaust footprint, so you can swap in any of the aftermarket products which have been developed? Or does the 4rs have a bespoke back box? I assume the headers and OAPs, at least, have to be different...?

From a design standpoint, I think they’re close, they just need to subdue the cowbell a bit more

IMHO, WAY to big, looks like an “add-on” fiberglass scoop from the 70’s, lol.

IMHO, WAY nicer looking! Not as “horsey” Sometimes less is more

Dear A.P. My suggestions.

Wow they must be an influential dealer to have 10 Spyder RS's on the way that haven't even been officially announced by Porsche!

Lol…thanks for the Friday morning humor!

I’d be shocked if they actually had 10 “regular” Spyders inbound.

Looking so good! Super excited for this.

Curious which headlamps it’ll debut with? If it has the PDLS+, it’ll be good indication that they might return for 2024 MY?🤷🏻‍♂️

Regardless, I’m getting one!
