If I do get a sniff, I get the feeling I’d be willing to be stupid for this car, removable lid or not.
I can't work out why you would want one.... all I've seen is you nit pick this car to pieces over 100's of comments now, and always refer back to your perfect PG Spyder
I was fortunate enough to drive @Westcoast ‘s dialled in chalk spyder earlier this week - I can’t see needing or wanting any more than that! BUT, the brain does funny things when there’s 1000 more RPM and a 100 BHP more potentially under the right foot. The base sypder, IMO, is still the best looking car Porsche makes.
lol Touché. Aesthetically, it won’t compare. And pdk…meh.
But 9k rpm and ~500 HP, and likely THE ultimate ICE NA mid-engined car they’ll make (cgt notwithstanding)…I started a boxster guy in 99, and at heart, I’m still a boxster guy.
I’ld sell / trade it in a heartbeat, though, if they make a Spyder R with MT as the mate to the rumored Cayman (GT4?) R.

All 3 of them might be in PG! lol
Lets cross our fingers, but there isn’t much time left in the production cycle before the EVs.
They have 2 more years of 718 production. They will release two limited edition numbered Cayman r and Spyder r pair. Basically manual RS with a bit less aero and not as fast around track. Still GT3 engine. Cleaner design.
Release Early 2024 production end 2025. EV may overlap or start after.

Are you guys thinking this would be the MT with the GT3 engine?

My brain can't take much more of this!
The mentioned car, RS without the aero and MT, would be the dream car to have either Coupe or Convertible. I really hope they produce them but honestly doubt it…
