Just as an FYI, get my car today and for months I've been lamenting the long waits, but, then again, that's something we all deal with on TYD. Bottom line: don't rely on TYD for accurate dates. It's more of a guideline really. Between the start of TYD and today, my car went from a 23 Dec delivery to 11 Nov, in my hands. And for the longest time, it reflected a 30-day wait once it got to the US port. However, within 24 hours of arrival at the port, that 30 days had changed to 7 and even that was a bit off in that my dealer called me on day 5 to tell me my car was ready. I think they likely pad TYD to keep people from developing unrealistic expectations. Hopefully your times will all work out the same and you'll get an earlier delivery than you were expecting. Maybe in time for an early Christmas/Hanukkah present. Best of luck.

It sounds like you are mostly talking about the transportation times. My car is due to begin production tomorrow so you can imagine my anticipation level. Did you find that TYD was pretty accurate on the production times or is that only an estimate as well?

I found out I was in production from my SA; the app had gone from "production scheduled" to "ordered" when I found out. Now, I'm a day away from CP8, but my expected date of delivery is now Jan. 7.
It's slow all the way around. Estimated production start date (accurate), estimated build date (I guess accurate, about 6 days), then waiting to ship, then suddenly halfway to Emden, then suddenly there. TYD showed the vessel ~ at the port, but the vessel tracker itself (https://www.marinetraffic.com) showed the vessel already far out to sea off the coast of Portugal. So it was nice to see it making progress throughout the process, but I think it's slow to reflect the actual stage/location.
One week after the RCC Europe dropped my car off at port in San Diego, it is finally in my garage after a 7 month wait. Genuinely surprised more people haven’t gone with carmine red on the 4.0, especially since it was a launch color. It’s even more stunning than I had hoped!

That's a beauty!
One thing that makes for less Carmine Reds in 4.0 land is that it isn't one of the offered colors for Spyders and GT4s; for those it becomes PTS pricing.

Damn, that is fast processing. Gives me hope. My ship ports in San Diego sometime later today or early tomorrow for a dealer delivery in Beverly Hills.
TYDs shows a dealer date of 12/10. Maybe I will get the call before Thanksgiving, if things are moving thru San Diego that quickly.

If I could have gone with Carmine on my incoming GT4 I would have checked that box in a heartbeat.

Carmine Red does look great but I thought it's not available through PTS.
