Regarding Car Play, all I know is that they have been upgrading their hardware and rolling them out model by model. The SUV's I think have wireless car play now. 718s will be last according to my SA.
Some more questions remain, (to my surprise) which the dealer didn't even know...
1. Apple CarPlay: Is it, or is it not "Wireless" CarPlay? The dealer is saying that 'All' Porsches he delivered had Wireless Carplay. To which I replied, "Why isn't that spelled out in the configurator?" With all of the cars he delivered, none of them were GT4s or Spyders. If someone can finally this to rest, I would appreciate it.
2. Infotainment / Nav system specifies an integrated Sim card + another sim slot. Does this mean, I can use my own sim card with my carrier to access the online functions? If not, what is it for / what can you do with it? Hotspot without paying Porsche to enable every year?
3. Any other safety features such as lane departure warning, or blind spot monitoring?
I know I still have 4 months to go until the delivery, based on insomnia I've experienced last night, I don't think I'd live to see the car
It’s wired CarPlay. It’s a cost option on GT cars and I believe included in GTS and lower trim levels.
Good Afternoon Fellow Waiting room enthusiasts. Already posted this in the allocation thread but Am officially joining the waiting room! Secured my allocation a couple days ago and got my build sheet, etc.
SA didnt show me the build date yet but on my Build sheet it shows me this V110 Code (shown below) any ideas what this means? Happy to be here and feel fortunate enough to have snagged one of these cars as they are for sure a dying breed!
I believe on the GT4 and Spyder, it's covered in mouse fur, aka Race-Tex but I believe you can option to get in leather.
dont see an option for leather but I see an option for two different race tex styles. Config pic looks like leather. Is yours race-tex without the logo or crest?

My mistake. It appears that it only comes in Race-Tex and you have the choice of either opting the top with the Porsche Crest or the Porsche logo. I actually did CXX and changed it to Pepita because I don't like Race-Tex on high touch points. I'll see if I have any better pictures of the arm rest but it's the exact same material as my seat inserts shown here. You can see the arm rest in the background but it's a little out of focus.

Thanks @HalfMonkey. Maybe I can get it re-done in leather to match after as I don’t like Race-Tex on the height touch spots either.
My car was offloaded from the RCC Europe yesterday in San Diego, but TYD shows it still on the ship and well on its way to Benecia lol. Anyone else offloaded in San Diego from the RCC Europe who has seen any updates to TYD yet? Curious how long it’ll take to get to my dealer in LA …

Please let us know when it arrives. Mine is due in San Diego port next Friday and going to Beverly Hills Porsche. Right now, TYD shows a dealer delivery date of Dec. 10th
