Eh? What do you mean by "wanted me to do an order demand"? Do you mean put down a deposit? If you're putting a deposit down, even if you're on a list, the dealer should create an Order Demand. If you're not putting down a deposit, the dealer MAY still create an Order Demand for you, but I'd say that likely only happens for long-time customers of a dealer that are known to be serious.

Again it continues to prove out that this forum is a good source of truth for most things Porsche, including slipping delivery dates. My Spyder's delivery date slipped a fully month back in September, when due date changed from 10/29 to 11/26, and now it's just slipped again, from 11/26 to 12/17, which is line with most people's reported changes of 7-8 week slip. I had hoped for a nice fall driving season, then readjusted that to a late fall driving season, now it may only be an abbreviated winter season in and around the Blue Ridge Mountains. Well, better than nothing, I suppose.
