Thanks for the replies. It helps, as you all know. I'm leaning towards Shark Blue now. I also love how limited it is.
Appreciate the share. I agree and feared I would not love the AvGreen color forever. And definitely won't stand out. I love silver, but also doesn't stand out.
Exactly, can't tell AvGree apart from Agate at times. I thought it was just me.
Yea, the GT car thing is an issue. I may add stript "GTS" letters on the doors to make the car more bold, actually.
it's such a beautiful car and there are many colors which emphasize the curves. I'm usually not a fan of all black cars, for instance. But, one of us posted a pic of a recently delivered triple black car and it looked spectacular! Deeply sinister!
Choosing a car color is a surprisingly personal choice. I appreciate how many of y'all are excited about Shark Blue. As I was finalizing my choices, I returned to the dealership to look at the different colors after initially picking Gentian Blue Metallic, but I was wavering with Guards Red. As I drove up, there was a Panamera in a deep blue and I thought, "Wow! I hope that's Gentian!" And when that was confirmed, I knew my choice.
I haven't seen a color that makes the car look bad!
Picked up my guards BGTS on a perfect, 80 degree day. Left the dealership at 12:15, stopped for lunch, and did a wonderful 3 hour drive south of St. Louis. The 2 road pictures don't begin to do the roads in the southern half of my route justice. There were times when I didn't see a car going either way for more than 30 minutes, just glorious curves and woods that felt like they would go on forever. Most of the roads were 55mph speed limit with 40mph and 35mph advisory corners, which was just glorious. The car was entirely worth the wait. Just amazing.
I had a Miata before this, which I loved, but I never would have attempted this drive, because I would have been desperate to get out of it after 45 minutes (I'm 6'4"). A few minor notes:
Love the rev matched downshifts
Love the LWBS. 3 hours straight and I feel great. Super comfortable and look amazing.
I spent so much time worrying about guards vs. carmine. I got guards, they had a used carmine cayman at the dealership. Turns out I would have been delighted with either. I don't think either color photographs as well as it looks in person. In person, I find guards less orange, and carmine richer and deeper than photos usually portray.
I got the standard interior for (perhaps) durability. I spent a lot of time worrying about that also, but the truth is once I'm in the car, its a total non-issue.
Didn't have any trouble keeping it below 4k and still having fun
A few High Res photos of mine when I picked it up last spring 2020. Definitely a color that pops in the right light. But, in the normal shadows of the day, it's Agate Gray with green tones
Beautiful in its right and for a purpose. But for Spyders / GT4's / GTS 4.0's... Shark, Yellow, Gentian, White, Silver,........aaaaaand Black all have the edge. IMHO.

Thats funny yours is the exact 911 I saw in av green.. you dont own the sasquatch do you? If so I love that place!
Well if you're in Salt Lake, it was my car that you saw. One of Porsche SLC's "good repeat clients" bought it a few months ago and it's already back for sale in the showroom for an even higher price again.
I don't know what "The Sasquatch" you're referring to is but it sounds amazing.
It's just a nickname given to me in college (don't ask.. but pretty straight-forward lol).
Damnit, You guys are sort of convincing me to get the Shark blue now haha. I decided on racing yellow, because there are quite alot of blues out there. my freeze date is in 9 days. Decisions... decisions....
Racing yellow is an awesome color. I’ve seen UncleDude ‘s in the flesh and it is stunning! And relatively rare. He has the only Racing Yellow CGTS on halfmonkey ‘s database https://rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-...-database.html

Racing yellow is rarer than paint to sample! 😂
That probably isn’t true, but it doesn’t seem very common. We’re sure happy with it - thanks for the kind words. I met a client downtown today in it and he said he could see me parked 3 blocks away 🤪

haha well SLC sure looks a lot like Reno, NV... didn't see the plate on my phone earlier... if you're ever in Verdi, NV check out the sasquatch, great place to eat!
For those who spec'd a non GT4 color, is there any consensus on how much time this added to the build? I'm thinking Carmine or Arena Red. That has to be less time impact than a truly custom color, right?

If and when my car ever shows up, it would take me ~5 hours to get to St. Louis but I almost feel like it would be worth it to take that drive. Looks & sounds great!
I finally picked up my BGTS. No surprise, it is awesome. I only have 100kms so far and I quickly realized that it will be though to stay below 4,000 rpm during the break in. The engine note starts changing right as you get to 4,000 rpm. The build quality is great and I am glad I went for the GTS interior with red stitching. The contrast with the chalk exterior works nicely. I plan to go for a couple of long drives this weekend to get familiar with the car and enjoy the go kart like driving dynamics.
