I changed my color on Saturday and it caused my car to go into production a week later. But it's going into Port Emden on the same date, exiting Emden on same date, yet arriving in Davisvill, RI port a week later. Go figure. Maybe it's going onto a different ship with a different route now? Funny thing is that it shows it arriving at my dealership on the same date, which cannot be accurate now. I guess, it is what it is. That's the dead of winter anyway.
My understanding is every time you change your build it needs to get re-approved by the manufacturer and changes your spot on the queue of being built.
I can understand that, but what's odd to me is that the car is leaving Emden on the same day but arriving a week later. Slow ship? hehehe Or did they just put my car on a different ship that makes more stops first? Of course, the 1/7 date is wrong.
TYD just updated my date from 11/5 to 11/26..My car has been at Eden since 9/25, so not sure why it would be delayed. Hopefully nothing went wrong at the port

Weird. My delivery dates are pulling back in - worst quote was march, now back in February
I can understand them being a slight delay since I recently just submitted by build to Porsche, but it being changed by a 3 months is quite a lot. I was expecting maybe like 2weeks-1 month delay. Hopefully I get an update and it gets built sooner. My freeze point also got extended as well, It went from being next week to over a month away.
My TYD delivery date just got pushed from 11/19 to 12/10 (and was originally 10/22), even though last week I was elated when my car showed as starting production on 10/4. But now production completion is scheduled for 11/5 (was 10/8), so a full month in production. Will confirm with my SA tomorrow.
I'm new to all of this so you're probably right, but I thought PTS meant "paint to sample", as in, you could literally supply a chip or paint code and have that done. I have no plans to go this route; expect it has to add delays even if possible.
But I'd expect one could choose most colors from present or previous Porsche pallets (I'd love to do Arena red!).
But Carmine is listed as a "special color" for GTS4.0 cars in the configurator, seems it should be available as a PTS on a GT4, no?
Anyone else with experience here on PTS colors?

I can only go with what I was told. My friend loves Carmine Red and loves the Spyder. He checked with SA and SA said no dice. If you’d like to check with yours, then you should. And yes, Carmine Red is available and the other 718 models. Just not the GT4/Spyder.
