You should consider the Competition/Track silencer as they are true 2.5" dual openings that would mate up with your 2.5" OAP Cats from BC Fabs. Their Triangular silencer is the same size as the Touring silencer, thus will sound a bit more than Touring due to larger pipings w/o drone or resonance (Raspiness). That's the gist I got from Thomas @ Cargraphic.

looked at it but my cats mate to stock so the top path is closer to 2 in. Also the touring has more exhaust path collisions and im hoping its quieter valves closed and drones less than the competition. Thats the rationale, i want it silky smooth its still gonna be loud AF

Oh really? I thought the Cats had both 2.5" openings? Oh well, in that case, you can't go wrong with the all-rounder Touring

larger and smaller path is typical for most of these i think

LOL. So you were the one ahead of me. When I reached out to them, they said someone just paid for it. But all good, they offered me something else that I am very happy with, simply because I just missed this deal. So, happy ending!

I will do the headers with OEM muffler for now because all I am after is power.

Hmmm, guess you're right. I guess the only company that makes 2.5" dual OAP would be Cargraphic for their OAP Cats and OAP optimized flow GPF.

I found it a while ago. It's called Porsche Sport Exhaust system.

Where is the valve that controls the OAP small/large pipe flow?
i thought the valve was on the center exhaust, but that is already passed that pipe, which means that removing/plugging the valve unit on the center doesn’t assure valves open throughout the entire system.

The valve is on the large dia. side of the back box. When closed, the valve forces the gas to use the small dia. path. When open, the gas takes the path of least resistance which is mostly the wide pipe plus a bit going through the small one because it remains open as well.

but the OAP has two diameter pipes as well and they are before the valve. So how does the valve after them make them flow in one way or the other?
it seams like only pipes after the valve would be affected, no?

Once the valve is closed the gas can't flow that way. The large path becomes a dead end street so the exhaust is forced through the smaller diameter path which branches off a foot or so before the valve. The exhaust gas will go wherever it can, the valve just takes away one of its options.

So it basically holds the path with a gas jam and the rest will go the other direction.

Yes, similar to a liquid (think water pipes in your house).
Conversely, when it's open, it's still going to partially flow out both paths. The majority of it will just flow through the path of least resistance.
