I'll report back on the combo of this and the Slip on... which might be the ideal solution for me! (vs going back to OEM)
Larry did you try just the akra rear section? Sorry if I missed it.

No I wish I had, but in a (subsequently it appears a vein) attempt to reduce labor costs, and since I had already purchased both the Soul OAP and Akra Slip on - I went straight for it!

I suspect/hope that the Akra with the OEMs would be fine, but I think its worth trying the Cargraphic flow-optimized to see how that combo works - I might try that install myself - since the OAP are "relatively" easy to access ... (studs aside)

If it helps I could make a top down video of the current combo to try and illustrate why its too loud for me?

I think any video on any combo is helpful for the community! I find it kind of fascinating to watch people experiment with the modular system, and had I ordered two pieces at once I’d have done the same thing LOL. Not the best way to test things though, I suppose. From what I’ve gleaned the OAPs help uncork the system, and the rear section is the tone adjuster.

Soul Performance has video/sound clips of most exhaust options, and one can also Google them and find many exhaust clips. All give one a pretty good idea of what to expect; however, nothing beats hearing it in person.

I should have tested the Souls with the oem center before going with the slip on and then tested the slipon with the oem pipes ... But I'm not NASA! No govt budget for r&d!

amen to that - I'd say it was probably a mistake to base a decision on a video ...

That's really all most of us can do, however. These cars are rare enough, let alone finding one that has the exact exhaust set-up that any one of us would want.

Yes the stock system has drone between 1800 and 3800 RPM, and what ever you do don't let the cylinder deactivation kick in while the valves are open, you'll think your engine just broke!

I drove the car a couple of the hours on the interstate before realizing that noise was my car and not a tractor trailer’s jake brakes.

Now I just have to hack the darn thing so it is like the 981 and permanently disabled until I tell it otherwise.

Jake brake... I thought it sounded familiar!

I installed the TDesign-9 module, really nice to not have to push any buttons now, set and forget!

Those looking for a RSR sound, check out JCR Instagram latest post. Good stuff coming for those that don't really daily their car and can handle drone.
