Guys,
Decided I should at least do a semi quick Spruce-Up of the GT4.
So I used Adams "Quick-Detailer" and went over the complete body.
Also got out my trusty Sears ancient cart with rollers and did the complete wheels inside & out.
Of course a fresh coat of Tire-Dressing.
Even if I am patting myself on the back it does look pretty darn sharp !!!

Terry

Over the years I have been known to spruce-up a few buddies cars.
Leaving to pick you up in about 10-minutes pal.
And keep in mind this fellow was in the Military and I had the most Stand-Out Jeep in inspections while in Hawaii.
Hi Jeff/Jeffery,
Personally I don't think there really is a bad choice on Detail-Products these days.
I use a lot of Carpro products.
Gotta get my old butt in gear and head to Jim's house on the other side of Franklin where some of the 1-Percenters live.

PON (Porsche of Nashville) tech-session on Saturday June 11th 2022 coverage below ...
Guys & Ladies,
For those that follow this thread below is the coverage covering the "Tech-Session" at Porsche of Nashville on Saturday June 11th 2022.
1st off I'm glad my GT4 was one of the Porsche cars selected for that.
I had never been to one those events and I have been into cars (Performance-Cars) since the Mid-60's.
I think over those years I had probably been invited but just never had any interest in attending.
I say the above because over the years I have owned Audi RS models, Mercedes AMG Series, BMW M-Series, Porsche 911 Whale-Tail and many-many models of those.
Honestly, back in those years I was much more interested in acquiring the next model than attending any Tech-Session.
Let's get into the Tech-Session at PON.
I am glad I was invited and more glad I actually went in person and didn't just supply my GT4.
It was Very-very interesting listening to Josh & Nick plus the opportunity to meet members of the Porsche Club in person.
For those of you that have the GT4 or Spyder I can tell you my opinion is the greater majority of those members have 911 Porsche cars.
One of the Club members I met does have a 2020 GT4 and another member does see and read this dedicated thread I thought that was interesting.
Lastly, what was Really-really interesting to me was the number of those Porsche Club Members that checked-out the GT4 in-depth.
Comments that I heard like, it's got the GT3 steel-brakes, front suspension and it has 414 H/P and it's Super-FAST etc.
Trust me guys they were very interested in it ..............
I'll post my comments above the pictures if I feel the comments would be useful.
My GT4 on Saturday morning sitting in garage and getting ready to leave to pick-up Jim Dillard on the other side of Franklin.
Jim's 2022 Porsche Spyder is now "Confirmed" it's in the Build-Process for a FACT as his SA Mark did the Print-Out for Jim while we were there Saturday.
Estimated delivery to PON August 2022.
We just arrived at PON.
Jim on left and me on right at PON just arrived.
Nick on the right and me on left.
Nick is taking the GT4 to the shop to put on lift.
Also to remove all the Bottom-Panels so the Porsche-Club-Members can check-it-Out.
Nick pulling it in to place on lift.
In the below picture is Nick's 20-Year recognition from Porsche.
If you saw this in person it's pretty darn cool looking !!!
Next are the Porsche 911's Nick got for the "Tech-Session" as many of the Porsche-Club-Members own 911's.
This 1st one below is a Sold unit and it ran $199,000.00 US dollars Loaded-Up obviously.
Next is a Highly-Modified GT2 that they did Fire-Up and believe me when I say it was ... LOUD ... that's an under-statement !!!
Note* it would be right what you guys love that are changing your exhaust and possibly even Bit-Much for you.
Next a GT2 RS.
They took some of it apart to show it to the Porsche-Club-Members.
Pretty darn Awesome looking interior when seen in person.
Below is Nick removing All the Bottom-Panels so Porsche-Club-Members could see what it really looked like.
Keep in mind the Majority of those members I'm sure own 911 Porsches.
So, Nick went the extra-mile and removed All-Lower-Panels for them.
All the removal of Panels, Rear Fascias etc on the three Porsches on Display took place Early before any Porsche-Club-Members arrived.
Last picture of the GT4 with All-Lower-Bottom-Panels removed.
I thought some of you might like to see what the GT4 looks like with them removed.
Also as you see the Porsche-Club-Members have arrived and are checking out the GT4.
I also took a picture showing the roof and how well lit the shop is along with Cold-A/C and the Huge-Fan circulating the Super-Cold A/C.
I can Guarantee the Technicians are NOT suffering from Heat-Strokes in that Shop.
The last picture.
Here is the Tech-Session actually taking place with Nick (Left) and Josh (Right) doing their presentation.
Also you can see the Porsche-Club-Members that are seated.
And to the far right you can partially see there was multiple-tables set-up with Fresh Coffee and Lots & Lots of Fresh pastry.
Overall my opinion is the Tech-Session was an overall hit as there was lots of looking, chatting, and smiles.
Thanks for looking as always,
Terry

Randy and all others that are interested in the Michelin AS/4 tires.
I have now been in contact with the following regarding the AS/4 tires for my GT4.
The .................... Tire Rack, Discount Tire (Management), Michelin Customer Support in Canada.
I know now that per Discount Tire (Management) that all 4 tires have definitely been ordered direct to Michelin.
This ^^^ I confirmed yesterday afternoon.
The AS/4 tires that fit the 2020 & 2021 GT4 are not scheduled for production for the month of February 2022.
Also, Michelin Customer Support was nice enough to share a few Facts with me.
One, Michelin at one point didn't have anyone working in their warehouses (Covid 19).
Second, Michelin is working as fast as they can and actually are playing Catch-Up.
Third, sadly Michelin, Tire Rack, Discount Tire haven't a clue as when will manufacturing actually be producing the AS/4 tire sizes the GT4 requires at this point in time.
Forth, I do have a case with Michelin now and it's up to me to call Michelin Customer Support back on February 28th (Monday) last day of February.
They, Michelin can look 1-month ahead to see what will be scheduled for manufacturing for March 2022 at the end of February 28th when I call back.
I talked over with Cathy (Wife) and I have made the decision to not drive the GT4 so as not to put any additional wear on the current Michelin PS4S tires.
As you read I Pre-Sold those ^^^ to Randy down South in Georgia.
If I was Super Wealthy I'd probably just drive the GT4 and toss the tires that's on it now but .............
I will be using the money from Randy to offset some of the cost of the Michelin AS/4 tires.
I'm not Super Wealthy so my preference is to use the money from Randy on the PS/4 tires.
Plus it's not fair to Randy to purchase the PS4S tires and them having a lot of wear which as it stands the fronts measure Brand-New and the Rears have some wear !!!
Plus he has an 8 hour drive to my house to pick those up when the time comes.
And speaking for myself if I drove ............ (Correction 8 Hours round-trip) ..... NOT 16-Hrs. round trip to pick-up tires to find out they were Really-really worn I'd be Beyond-Pissed.
One thing I have done is to get the 2017 VW Golf R we also own back to new in regards to service etc.
Discount tire installed four new Michelin AS/4 tires to get things started in the process.
I had a mobile guy I have dealt with in the past come by last week to take care of the following.
I had two slight Road-Rash wheels and one slightly Bent wheel.
He took care of all that and did as always an excellent job.
I went by and had a Full Detail Service done at Miles Auto Spa which included inside and outside plus a hand wax.
I had VW Dealership do the recommended Oil & Filter change, Three new wiper blades, Full 4-wheel alignment, and a recall.
The Golf R now drives better, smoother than it did when we purchased it new back in 2017.
It only has 14,000 miles on it which equates to approximately 3,500 miles a year.
Well I'd be majorly lying if I acted like this is no Big-Deal with waiting on the AS/4 tires for the GT4.
Who would have ever even remotely thought this would have happened.
But, it is what it is so I'll make the best of it.

The latest on the Michelin take-off PS4S tires.
Just got a few E-Mails from Randy down around Atlanta, Georgia this afternoon.
He said if he can possibly get free he's going to come up next week and retrieve the Michelin PS4S tires.
He's had more than his fair-share of home issues recently that had to be resolved ASAP.
Like no drinking water of able to flush the toilets to name a few things.
Those ^^^ have now been taken care of so he might be here one day this coming week.
I had to move the Michelin PS4S tires out of Cathy's Formal-Living-Room this morning/afternoon.
She suggested/Insisted I move them ASAP as her new manager is visiting her here at home next week.
So, she said she Really-really didn't won't to look like a Red-Neck with the Huge-Stack of tires sitting in the room.
I made a quick trip to Home Depot maybe 3-4 miles from the house.
Picked-Up an outdoor huge-cover and went to work.
No-water or sunlight can actually get to the tires.
As I kept them in the bags Nick placed them in for me at Porsche of Nashville.
Then added the Blue outdoor cover.

Terry, I don't see how she could possibly object to those beautiful Michelins sitting in her living room, designer chic! In fact, they look much less obtrusive there in fashion black than out on the stoop in garish tornado roof blue. But to each his (her) own!
Besides, us rednecks have to stick together.

Well believe it or not but early in my Performance Car Days I've had Complete sets of Wheels & Tires in a living room.
That ^^^ was a great many years ago ............
This Michelin PS4S tire thing she handled okay until this past Friday her new manager at Cigna informed Cathy she is attending a meeting with other managers in Nashville.
Then on her way back home she is going to stop by our house to get to meet Cathy in person.
Cathy works from home for Cigna Ins. and has for plus 20 years.
We converted one of the upstairs bedrooms to an office for her.
That is when the HAMMER-DROPPED and she (Cathy) said move them anywhere you wish and up in your Dedicated Home Theater but they are not staying here.
I'm not going to look like a Red-Neck when she comes by this coming Wednesday.
So, outside they went as that was a lot easier than putting them up in the Home Theater.
And maybe forgetting they are in the HT and walk right straight into them.
The HT is a Pitch-Black-Cave with the sconce lights off.
Terry, I don't see how she could possibly object to those beautiful Michelins sitting in her living room, designer chic!
In fact, they look much less obtrusive there in fashion black than out on the stoop in garish tornado roof blue.

Can you imagine those Huge Michelin tires stacked-up in this Formal-Living room buddy.
That's Rascal our Male Maine Coon cat which is now 5-years old.
He has the run of the house obviously.
We chose not to have children.
I just received an E-Mail from Randy and he will be reaching out to me this coming Monday.
Randy below,
Terry, I’ll call you Monday to work something out.
I did quickly look at your Texas trip photos. You really put the miles on in chunks!

SOUL Competition (OAP) Over Axle Pipes just arrived for 2021 Porsche Cayman 718 GT4
Hello,
Okay after reading a lot of the Threads/Posts here on Rennlist,
I went for the below based on High Recommendations from Matt (OBSESSED GARAGE), tons of positive YouTube videos and of course positive comments here on Rennlist.
SOUL Competition (OAP) Over Axle Pipes which just arrived for my 2021 Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 with 1300 degree Jet-Hot Ceramic Coating.
Talk about "Super-Fast Service guys".
https://soulpp.com/product/porsche-7...er-axle-pipes/
I was on several Dedicated threads about SOUL products here on Rennlist.
One of those is below:
Thoughts on SOUL OVER AXLE PIPES ONLY?
https://rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-...l#post17996138
On that ^^^ thread thankfully I Really-really lucked-out because,
John Gaydos- Owner, Performance Specialist had posted the following to another Rennlist member earlier that I saw John's reply.
A few posts later the following SOUL Marketing Manager Mike replied to what I had posted asking John..
Everything turned-out great as I did text John instantly after seeing and reading Mike's reply to me.
John got back hold of me later that day and we set everything in motion for me to acquire the SOUL OAP W/Jet-Hot Ceramic Coating that was in Stock.
Guys you know I try my best to give credit where credit is due and this is one of those times.
Mike thankfully saw my post and John got back to me ASAP.
Those guys are what some old guys like me refer to as "The-Real-Deal".
And believe me John as many of you already know is not an owner sitting at a desk with his feet propped-up and playing the part.
He actually knows their products and can talk with a customer with Factual information.
Something else I want to share with all of you,
You guys know I don't turn-wrenches I have PON (Porsche of Nashville) do all my GT4 changes.
And Nick the Shop Foreman is the only tech that that's done all the changes on mine.
Below is what Nick replied to me about SOUL Performance while he is on vacation.
Yes guys I sent an E-Mail to Nick and believe it or not he actually replied to me while he's on vacation.
Response from Nick below.
I also asked Nick which valve-controller should I order the Cargraphics or the SOUL ???
Monday I think I'll get his recommendation on the above ^^^.
I'm not even going to be a little surprised that Nick says go with the SOUL Valve Controller.
When you have a Tech with over 20-years of service at one dealership and in Nick's case that's PON.
I think it says a lot about SOUL products !!!

I’m at Bonnaroo currently. (We survived the storm front) I’m going to mark this as unread to revisit next week.
Soul seems to be pretty good stuff!
I’ve emailed with their staff in the past and it seems they are really in tune with their products and customers.

Tires are still exposed to the temperature variances and would deteriorate pretty quickly. Hope they are stored out there temporarily and be moved back to the living room where they were originally stored. Please show us who the real boss is LOL

UncleDude,
So converting 7000km's to miles 4350.
You went for the Soul valved rear section VS the Soul OAP or do you have both ???
Thanks for mentioning you drove a GTS with the SOUL OAP and you liked what you heard.
From what I have been reading and that's a lot it seems the guys that run the SOUL OAP in their GTS they are quieter than the GT4 with a lot less Sound-Deading/Insulation.
Also it was mentioned he rode in a GT4 and liked how Raw/Mechanical and the Engine sounds etc produced in the cabin.
His GTS/Spyder to him is more civilized for street duties but he Really-really liked the GT4 for it's more Racing Looks and it's Rawness.
I'm looking forward to Nick coming back from vacation Monday and just maybe he'll make a recommendation on either the Cargraphics or SOUL controller.
I'll then make that happen and once it comes in make the appointment at PON for Nick to do the installs.
This is going to be very interesting to me as I have not heard any Porsche Cayman Model with the SOUL OAP and the bonus of the controller handling things.
Randy here on Rennlist that also purchased my take-off Michelin Cup2 tires is calling me tomorrow (Monday).
I'll know then when he can get away to drive up from around Atlanta, Georgia to pick-up the PS4S tires.
My guess is he will be up this coming week but that's simply a guess only.
So the tires will only be outside for a very short period of time.

Since Cathy which is 9-years younger than me actually purchased the GT4 for me as she is still working.
I might very well be the BOSS but I'm smart enough to know when to be a tiny-bit-flexible.
She also as you might have seen from my previous post above just Signed-Off on my just delivered SOUL OAP & soon incoming Controller.
A Super Happy GT4 fellow,

SOUL OAP loaded-up and ready to take to PON ........
Guys,
I decided to go ahead and see if I could fit the SOUL OAP box in the GT4 ???
Answer..............
Yes it wasn't any big deal at all.
Now as soon as I hear back from Nick on the controller I'll get that ordered and on the way.
Lastly, make appointment with my SA Blake to get both items installed.

Hey buddy all is A-OK on this end.
Internet Sites like Rennlist IMHO should be Fun and Informative.
I'm not the overly sensitive sort of fellow at all.
Appreciate the Happy Fathers Day wish but ...............
We chose not to have children but we do have a 6-year old Male Coon Cat named Rascal so he is part of this Family.
I guess he might see me as his Dad as I certainly do look after him constantly.
Stay Safe,
Terry
