It should be the same as it’s going by the output of the charger

I keep having to remind myself about how “loaded” the average member here is, but I’m just a working stiff who’s always been a car guy.
From what I’ve read about you, I think you’re the same.
For me, being practical and living within my means is mostly what allowed me to afford my Spyder.
Why replace a perfectly good, brand new battery? Is what I would ask myself… I’ll upgrade to the AG battery when that time comes.
IMHO, since you have the cig. plug in your console, just use it.
Just run the cord under the door or over the window, it’s easy peasy and works just fine.

The stock battery in my first GT4 is still fine but the new owner will proactively replace it this week simply due to age.
We use battery tenders (CTEK or Porsche) any time the car isn’t driven in a few days.
We connect at the battery in the boot as I prefer not to lower the window and don’t want a cord pinching the water tight seal around the door or window.
So far it’s worked well and this is our habit on all cars at all times.

Fussing around with the bottom door indent is more of a pain, so I just straighten the cord and close the door slowly. I haven’t seen any issues with this way, but YMMV.

Yes, I should have made that clear for when I run it over the window (a quicker setup), I do crack it open a half inch or so.

I’d love to see an impression of the jamb area…

Thanks to everyone that took the time to add comments on use of the Cigarette Lighter 12-volt outlet.
Much appreciated ...........
I think if I do go ahead with adding the ANTIGRAVITY Lithium Battery I'll simply order both options for charging it.
(1) To hard-wire it directly to the ANTIGRAVITY Lithium battery.

Hey Terry. I ran a CTEK extension from my AG battery down around the frunk under the rubber liner and out right next to the red hood latch in the snout and secured it with velcro.
Very clean and cant see the wires at all. Let me know if you want some photos...
its a very easy route to run the wires so you have easy access for charging.
I like the AG battery and it just needed a charge after installing and its been running perfect for 6 months!
I never have to plug in the CTEK, but I drive it almost every day...

Please, post all the pictures you have of that AG, CTEK install as there are more than likely other Rennlist members and Guest that would like to see them and of course myself.
I want to run a few things by you on the AG (ANTIGRAVITY) battery fitment as I'm leaning towards the following as I see no-reason why it won't work.
(Keep in mind I'm NOT tracking my GT4 ... EVER)
I mention the above ^^^ as I could care less about weight savings to be honest.
Also, I Much-much prefer to spend 1-time and have the most I can get for that expenditure.
Below picture is an example below of what I'm saying above ^^^.
My GT4 will not be driven daily and especially in ****-Poor weather conditions like in the winter months.
So, I'll take the longer lasting AG Lithium battery for extended Stand-By if it will fit???
I'm wondering if you might be able to enlighten me some on the fitment of the larger AG ???
I don't think AG would list it to fit if it wouldn't that doesn't really make sense.
If you take a look at your AG fitment what's your thoughts ???
See picture below of my measurement of the GT4 battery mounting-plate holes.
I'm assuming you have the H6/Group-48 AG battery ???
You did see this video from Matt at Obsessed Garage ???
How to Install CTEK Battery Maintainer On 718 GT4 and GT3RS
OBSESSED GARAGE (Matt)I don't know why it's posting Matt's video twice as I only posted a single link to the video.
Mounting-Plate measurements below.
Below is from the ANTIGRAVITY official fitment chart.

The above is what I really want ^^^

You should have gotten a set of Tom's no touch plate mounts:https://tinyurl.com/7v8aksut
I have seen and read about those here on Rennlist.
They would surely also work just fine.
I have used the felt pads on numerous cars over the years and there has never-ever been any noticeable damage to the painted-surface.
So, my Good-Man I had those readily available and went with them again.
Also my GT4 has the Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra applied by Marlins Auto Detailing.
I don't think the felt pads will go/rub through the Gtechniq Ceramic Coating so I'm all good.
Appreciate the Heads-Up.
Terry

The below is more than likely not going to be of any interest to the majority ...
Guys,
Even though I realize what I just did doesn't mean crap to the Majority on here.
I finally ran some errands and came back using the i-65 South interstate.
And I took the Sport-Mode Off ....................
So the PDK 7-Speed Auto would go to 7th gear.
And what I found out which is sort of interesting.
When in 7th gear at say 70MPH it is actually more Cabin "Mechanical" noise than if you touch Sport-Mode and it reverts back to 6th gear and in doing so there's less noise in the Cabin.
Anyway now I know what to expect if traveling on the interstate at say the Posted-Speed-Limit of 70MPH for Tennessee and Kentucky.
Note* I usually run at 75MPH and stay in the Right-Slow-Lane.
That way the Fast Cats can Zoom by at 80-85-90MPH Plus and I don't have to be switching back and forth from the Fast-Lane to the Right-Slow-Lane.
It might be better to actually run it in 6th gear for a quieter cabin and to listen to the Bose Audio System.
Just sharing guys as I haven't really seen anyone remark on the above that I recall.

Just placed my 1st order with ANTIGRAVITY today ...........
Hello Rennlist members & Guest,
Well finally made my decision and placed my order with Antigravity batteries today.
I have posted a few times on several Antigravity Threads already and acquiring information.
I'm now all up to date and made my final decision on exactly what I want for my use.
I also wish to thank Chad, (Employee), Arlene, (Accounts), Scott (Owner) for all your help.
You guys got me all up to date on all the questions I had regarding your product.
And once I got myself up to speed you guys processed my order Super-Fast and it was all 100% correct the 1st time.
Next phase will be to schedule mine with Porsche of Nashville for the install with Nick the (Shop Foreman).
Nick has done everything that took place on mine so far including topping-off the oil last week after the 2,031 Break-in-Miles.
