Not certain if these will make the same HP/TQ as the truer equal length headers with CATS like Cargraphic, Dundon, JCR, BC Fabs, Fabspeed, SOUL, etc. Any one with knowledge care to share some insights to this?
What we need is an exhaust shoot out at one place where all the exhausts can be tested on the same rolling road. You can't tell how much power improvement there is by looking at it.

That would be ideal; however, you can derive some educated guesses from past knowledge about header design and HP/TQ data from equal length long tube design compared to shorty and mid-length header design. Irregardless, it would be interesting to know why Kline did it this way. I sent them an email regarding this question. We'll see what they have to say.

Call me a synic but I'm a retired software engineer and educated guesses never worked

derestricting any part of the exhaust or intake makes power in my experience. Headers>muffler>Bmc filter>opf. The muffler is quite restrictive because even though its straight pipes they are very small diameter compared to the rest of the exhaust. My 100-200 improved about 1/2 second with just the x pipe. About 1/3 sec with bmc filters alone. Yeah those actually make power on the street believe it or not.

It would be great to know too if you think you need/want the 200cell headers!
Barring any inclement weather (we still have a little snow in the forecast but it changes daily), install should be this Saturday. Correct, they came with new nuts, bolts and gaskets, will leave it up to the shop to decide what else, if anything is needed and let you guys know.

I'll try and record some before and after sound clips, might bring in a buddy to make some recordings on top of my phone clips to try and capture the difference as accurate as possible. Hoping to drive most of this season and then decide if I want to get the headers, we'll see how it sounds without the headers soon!

THIS 1st one (drive by) is it for me! If I can get fairly close to this sound with just the headers and side pipes (no headers) I will be in Heaven! Thanks K-Nut and Pete you guys rock!

K-Nut,

That sounds real nice. Not too loud with Valves opened and pretty much stock sounding with valves closed.

I have valve control , always open or always closed. Driving with open valves all the time (unless wife in the car ) and no drone , may be a little on there low rpm 1800-2200 , like I say may be . Sounds very good

Sounds great. Does the system come with the valve controller?

no you have to buy one and install it separately either under the car or in the engine bay depending on whether u want 2 way (stock, open) or 3 way (stock, open, closed) control.
