We are holding off reinventing that wheel until we see what Porsche does with the 718 GT4RS. Once that arrives it will help us determine the path forward.

GT4 Top speed before exhaust was 144.02mph, after was 148.24mph. GT3RS tops out at 152.06 (with the full Ventus 3 Aero package).

Is there a way to get the power gains without increasing the exhaust volume (noise)?

I would say ECU tuning, but don't expect 30 WHP just from that. I will leave it up to Ted or Jamie for further insights. There's another vendor that's already has ECU tuning capabilities for the Spyder/GT4 with a 26 crank HP and 40 crank TQ if the claim is correct.

We've gotten pretty universal feedback (that we agreed with!) that the 718 GT4 left a lot to be desired in the sound department, so we started there. If you don't want the car to be 1dB louder than stock, I can't really help.

If you can tolerate a car that's a bit louder but sounds better (AND makes 30whp) in the same token, I'd encourage you to look at our street headers. The factory muffler does a lot to keep the sound reasonable (especially with the valves closed). We haven't yet tuned the ECU in this car, so I can't comment on what gains are available there. If that happens, we will certainly update this thread.

Do you guys have any videos of the gt3 rear section with your street headers? I saw that you attempted it but didn’t see anything in the vid. Would be curious to hear!

The first fly-by in Episode 4 is with the GT3 Muffler. The last fly-by (at the end) is the factory muffler.

Both sounds amazing but the GT3 muffler definitely edges the GT4 stock one. Is the GT3 muffler develop by your or is that the OEM GT3 muffler?

Will your new lifetime muffler sound similar to the GT3? louder or quieter? Great work!

The muffler heard in that video is an older Dundon GT3 muffler. I can't say how the new one will sound because it hasn't been built yet

That said, I imagine it will sound pretty similar to the one you hear in the video.

Any update on the muffler?

Our GT4RS is under the knife as we speak. New muffler is part of this process.

Ted

Can you provide us some updates?

For example, SOUL has revealed the RS OAP is going to be a real challenge to squeeze anymore pipe diameter out of, as the OEM OAP is already 'crimped' to fit over the axle.

I just use that as an example, as I am sure Dundon is finding out many RS intricacies that are dictating the design path.

Of course, RS owners are few and far between and not sure how much pie can be sliced among all the aftermarket companies when it comes to the RS?

What you DO have is an ever eager population of GT4 owners who have been desperately awaiting Dundon to come up with a rear box solution that nobody else has been able to achieve for our Dundon headers/OAPs.

Thank you

Avera

Dundon had a very in-depth IG live a few weeks back with Jamie and Ted on.

Few days before John Gaydos and Soul released their breakdown. In fact for some of the data they actually collaborated.

We have the 718 GT4/RS rear section 80% in cad, we have Collector placement decided on the RS and we know how to route the OAP's for our design criteria. we're slow playing this a bit intentionally for everyone else to announce their stuff first so that we don't give anyone any good ideas...

.

That was Jamie and Charles and we didn't collaborate with Soul on anything. Some of our dyno numbers might have been corroborated or confirmed by others...

We're not just doing exhaust on the 4RS, we're doing all of it, Suspension, Aero, Exhaust and Intake. An "MR" kit if you will for the car. Our Valkyrie wing from the 992 will be present, we have PFC and MCS in house and ready to install. So a bit more going on that just measuring and welding pipes...

We're on it!

So lowly GT4 owner here, watching development go into a car (GT4RS) that is a limited run and often part of garage fleets, I'm interested if you can share your perspectives on how you decide what parts to develop for or not. The comment earlier about not releasing designs until others have produced theirs says a lot, are there other things you can share that go into those decisions?
